I see there is a new relationship building, I do hope it turn out positive.
I have been top Cuba about 4 times from about 1981 and probably the most favourite place, I know it a one party state blah, blah, blah.
But the people were lovely, well educated, walk anywhere at any time, even the cars that were mostly pre 1959 were immaculate. The cities were clean, no advertising hoardings. And the people genuinely loved Castro and if I was followed by the secret police they were damn good, because I never noticed.
I know there are black marks against this regime, but I reckon the USA could learn much more about getting what's important right, rather than seeking wealth for wealth's sake, or should I say greeds sake. |
