Seeing Scarlett for the first time. Stood at the bar with a very short, slinky black dress on, stocking tops visible. I knew she was going to be my Wife from that moment.
Our first child being born kind of changed everything too.

For me there have been many times my live has been changed. Not always in a good way but everyone of them has changed me. I'm a stronger, more confident person. Where once I was a daydreamer with my head stuck in the sand now I have my head up and I live in the present. |

It's 50/50 good days and bad days. Looking at her you wouldn't think she had it. Luckily she is not in a wheel chair and has the use of her legs. She can't walk far.
I sometimes forget she has got MS because as I said to look at her you wouldn't know.

So many to list, all too personal to post but a recent one was had I not argued with my mums husband I wouldn't have landed in a situation that now see's me set up for life and mortgage free.
Had the argument not happened - I would not have ended up in the situation.
I still think he's a tosser but thank him for being one now |

It took a while before she felt the same about me lol
But from going up to her at that bar and saying hello it was destiny and the chase and challenge was on!

I've had a similar experience with smell that I try and block out of my mind - was with an immediate family member.
I'll never forget it and never want to experience it again.
Luckily not many people do - wouldn't wish it on anybody. |

Losing my sister. Still hurts like crazy after all these years. Some days it can be a real struggle to get through.
In weird way though it also makes you stronger when you realise the fragility of life and how truly precious it is. It can make you a better person. Makes you understand what true love really is. Most people never really get to feel that. |

Moving 5000 miles, alone aged 16, changed me. The death of my father taught me that you only live once. That led to me evaluating the whole of my life. So I started swinging, which gave me the self confidence to leave my job. I've now got the job of my dreams and, despite being very tired I'm in control of my destiny, very happy with my fab FB and looking forward to the next chapter - divorce. |

My old life was ruined when the major newspapers leaked a story of a film me and Kim shot, I lost my job had to move and we buried our heads in the sand for at least a year afterwards.
We then used the same media to recreate ourselves to our advantage hence the line of work we are in, some lowlife got £2500 for a story on us years ago but we can now look back and think they actually done us a favour as we love our life now. |

Depends on the type. My mum's was slow and progressive. No periods of remission. It killed her but took over 30 years to do so. Early on wasn't so bad but later stages were very difficult. But she never gave in to it. I think that made all the difference. I quit my job for a while to care for her and even when I returned to work it was at a lower level and lower pay than before (I'd been in management and was working my way up). MS affects whole families - as with most other major illnesses. |

The night my wife told the kids I was leaving the family home. We all fell asleep together on the big bed after sobbing the night away. So desperately sad. I wasn't made to be a part time. I do it as best I can but after three years it hurts as much as ever. Love her and my boys. I'm ok strong and despite saying all that moving on but man breaking decision. |

When two close friends died. One of cancer and one of an aneurysm. They were both in their 30's. I thought I'd be a mug not to learn anything and so in a way of remembering them, I don't get wound up about stupid things, try always to be positive, take risks, act daft and have as much fun as I can cram in.
Even when life's shit; it's still good. |

I would of had this too as I had a phone call to see if I could pop round and check on a close friend as no one had heard from him for a while. I couldn't go as I wasn't in town. Instead 2 male friends went round and when they could hear his phone ringing inside but no one was answering it they peeked through the letter box. |

The last text conversation i had with my parents and the thought 'you know what I really can't be bothered anymore'. Walking away fron the 2 biggest negative factors out of my life was long overdue.
I also often refer to 7th March 2007 as 'the day everything changed' as the gig that I was at that night led to me moving to London
And losing my unborn son. Which at the time was the worst thing to have happened to me but with the passing of time was by far the best. It changed me so much for the better |

1. Being adopted....i was too young to remember it...but knowing now where I came from...i'm a lot better off.
2. Finding out my biological father had died and deciding that having never met him, that I should attend the funeral and thus reconnecting with my biological family. Was odd though, only ever meeting him in a pine box....
3. Joining fab...oddly, I've met folk through fab that have changed me and my life permanently and for the better. |

Got to give her love though and she'll always be with me.
Sorry morbid as hell! "
It's horrible and most harrowing thing about death of an unborn child as you feel helpless as there is nothing you can do to save it...Mother Nature is a cunt at times.. |

Defining moment for me was waking from a 7 day coma after a bad motorbike accident. Taught me to value each day better as you never know when it could be your last. Also when my daughter was born as I had to calm down and realise I was responsible for her life too not just my own so changed my lifestyle dramatically. |

I've led quite a charmed life, but needing a hip replacement at 45 was a bit of an eye opener in the Carpe Diem stakes, seeing my Grandma die in front of me at my siblings birthday party when I was 17 was a bit of a growing up thing as well and joining Fab in 2011 was possibly one of the best decisions I ever made as I've made so many good buddies and a couple of true friends and I think I have a pretty awesome life right now so I'm going to carry on carrying on for however long I'm spared |

I know what you mean with regard to no. 1.
No 2. Don't know my biological father's name, so I'll never meet him
3. Fab has changed me yes |

The death of my father 8 months before my wedding sad thing is it wasn't natural or an accident. It was 20 yrs ago and I still struggle to use the 's' word.
Positive things tho the birth of my 3 wonderful children and meeting a half sister and getting on like a house on fire
Hugs to every one of you who have experienced trauma x |

Realising I had depression stemming from Aspergers (autism). Very mild but caused me hell through a lot of years and a relationship until I figured it out. Still get visits off the black dog though |

I've never been truly happy since."

Kind off puts things into perspective... I sat and held my lad, after his partner gave birth last year the baby survived only a few minutes, I had lots of warm n heartfelt wishes on here. He,s still suffering his girlfriend was sectioned.. This has changed my life immensely he's a very different young man... No longer carefree and giggeley... |

"Seeing Scarlett for the first time. Stood at the bar with a very short, slinky black dress on, stocking tops visible. I knew she was going to be my Wife from that moment.
Our first child being born kind of changed everything too.

When I thought itd be a good idea to attempt to jump off a bridge. Never went through with it. a man asked me if I was okay while I was stood contemplating with blood all over me. I think he probably saved me without realising. |

The day my son died
He'd be 20 now and even though I have three beautiful daughters there is still a gap inside me that will never be filled there isn't a single day goes by that I don't wonder what he'd look like now |

The day i lost my son, Theropy, Councilling, medication. Think it made me a better person in the end. Some days i wish i could just be me and carry on being angry at the world and everything in it.
Then i remember how important my daughter is in my life, their's still a void, but she fills it with love. |

Losing my Dad at 13 to cancer - he was an amazing man. The only positive from that was that I was amazingly close to my Mum and my sis.
Then losing my Mum four years ago also to cancer - I thought my heart would never recover. Sitting and watching someone you love so much, leave this world was my toughest thing I've ever experienced to date. My heart will never be the same, but I can now laugh again and remember so many good memories.
But in the middle of all that, and getting married then leaving an abusive relationship. IVF finally worked on the 5th and 6th times giving me two wonderful children who really have made my world a better place.
I think all the adverse and sad things we experience , help us to really appreciate the good. I like to think that I never take time or people for granted. |

I once had to choose between spending 2 years working in either Asia or Africa. That decision led to marriage (bad) and kids (wonderful)
I often think how different life would've been if I'd chosen the other path. |

Sorry, kinda killed the thread didn't I? Now is probably not the time to say that my mother died six months later and a year after that my daughter was diagnosed with ms. Made me more self reliant though, it didn't kill me so it made me stronger |

"... Answers on a postcard
When my mum was diagnosed with MS
Snap. Sorry about your mum. It's a horrible disease.
Sorry about your mum too. Iv seen some very bad cases of it.
MS affects whole families - as with most other major illnesses." so very true |
