I guess! What's the best way of sending a messing saying that the invite was for that night only and that he wouldn't be welcome if he just showed up? x

Report him as a no show.

And.. If you are inviting strangers to your home, change your name for meets.. That way, if any no shows turn up, asking for Derek...
