Off to the beach next week and wondered if you had some recommendations for a good read? Have picked up Elizabeth is Missing, and Al Murray's Let's re-great Britain and looking for one more. |

"Elizabeth is missing is a great read. I've discovered a new author called Rachel abbot, just the kind of thing I enjoy, sadly she's only written four books and I've read them all now.
"
Will check her out, what sort of stuff does she write? |

"Easy reading, not too taxing on the brain but raises a smile : An Idiot Abroad (book of the TV series) by Karl Pilkington. "
I've never got into the TV series for some reason, but I like Karl Pilkington. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |

You might find Elizabeth is Missing a difficult read. I felt uncomfortable the whole time but I recommend it to everyone.
If you haven't read Apple Tree Yard get that. As you sit on the that special beach you will be transported back to London and then just as you start to skim read, in that holiday way, you will find yourself re-reading bits.
I've just read Matt Haig's Reasons to Stay Alive. His interview was better than the book but it has some really interesting descriptions of depression and how it makes us stronger.
I'm also reading Mrs Hemingway at the moment and I'm enjoying the tangential look at Hemingway through the fictionalised accounts of his wives.
Of course you could take a notebook and pen something yourself.
