Anyone forgot to pay and had a fine?

I went bothways across it over a week ago and only remembered to pay it today

It allowed me to pay and didn't hit me with a fine but I'm wondering if I should be expecting an automated one through the post?

Has it made a lot of difference to the time getting over the bridge or out of the tunnel?

Theres a lot of roadworks there at the moment around the old toll booths so its slow and ive avoided it at peak times but hopefully when its all completed it'll be much quicker

I hate coming out of the booths as it is,people criss crossing to get in lane. I'm going to hate it even more now lol I'm going to use Rotherhithe I think

I've found it pretty good the times I've been across since. Was astonished 10 days ago to find no queue at all about 6.30pm on a Friday! !

how can you forget to pay, i thought there were barriers down until you paid?

When i went ove the M5 toll once i had no cash on me (slight sat nav error as i wanted to go on the M50 )

I had to pay a £10 admin fee for paying late plus the original fee.....just to go to Barry!!!!

You don't pay at the crossing now,you have until midnight the day after to pay online or in some shops and garages,or you can set up an account, your number plate gets read as you go through

Had the same thing, hubby forgot and paid 3 days later and no fine so fingers crossed for you

Think the queues will be much better in the future, opens up new meets between Essex and Kent lol

It's certainly the way forward it was a nightmare with the booths

I think i only used the crossing once, and i'm talking seven years ago. Back in those days it was all barriers.

I'm old school. Not good with all this new phenomenons.

I had my pound coin ready & everything, then just sailed straight past without even being able to see where the tollbooths used to be!

I was worried it'd be heaving what with Christmas & Lakeside n all

(We had to go the wrong way round for a slight detour)

How very "New Millennium"
