Ive never suffered with dry skin.. But recently started going swimming as much as 5 times a week.. and add to that a few hours in hot tubs some weeks too I have noticed that my skin on my face has a few dry patches, it only two places on my face that have gone like it.

Never had to use any creams or anything previously..

Does anyone have one they would recommend or even better something I could put on that would help protect while in the water..

Aveeno moisture cream or lotion its available from the chemists. Works wonders. You csn also get an oil based aveeno and that one can be used in the shower as a body wash. Google it. Works good for eczema too.

Raw coconut oil - you can get a 500g jar on Amazon by Lucy Bee for about £10, and it's Fair Trade. It lasts a long time.

Add 1% vegetable glycerin for a little extra boost.

Too much chlorine can affect the skin try cleansing, toning and moisturising twice a day then using cocoa butter or herbal oils hope this helps x

You might need a hydrocortisone cream. See your doctor if it doesn't clear up with E45.

You need to use a barrier cream like silcox base before you swim and after. I would also invest in a body suit for swimming. Over exposure to the chemicals in the water is drying out ur skin. I wouldnt recommend any steroid creams unless you have a serious flare up. Only for acute conditions.

I use Nivea in shower cream for dry skin. I have suffered from dry skin for years and this has solved it.

As for my face, I use Loreal Age Perfect with calcium. No dry patches... Ever!

try being a guy who exercises every day + shaves. Then you will know dry skin.

So I stopped washing my face, years ago- just water+ moisturizer. Yeah, cream sounds gay, but better than ending up a prune face.

Nivea rules

You can get this in certain parts of London for £1.99 for a very large jar. Don't know if its 'fair trade'.

I would also recommend e45 or or the much cheaper but does the same job aqua max

Remember to wash after your chlorine filled water sessions! Use some aveeno or e45 shower gel stuff and get used to moisturising straight after you've dried yourself (pat towel dry, don't rub). Don't let yourself air/drip dry as it worsen cracks in your skin. If it gets bad then get the chemist/doctor to talk through hydrocortisone creams.

E is eczema suffer x

Exactly same thing I was about to say. I've had dry skin for a year or so especially when am out of the shower and E45 has been my cream since then. Highly recommended.
