Who's on Nightshift this week and how do you cope with adjusting back to normal after the week is over? I'm struggling like crazy.

I'm back tonight after 4 off so I stayed up late last night and had a lay in this morning. Been up late all weekend so hopefully body clock is still on late mode.

This is my first night back after 4 off. I wake up in the morning as usual and work right through the night till the next day with barely a yarwn. I sleep ok in the day as long as don't wake up if i do I'm wide awake! But eventually manage to drop of again. I have more of an issue sleeping at night again if i wake up I'm wide awake and I really struggle to get back of. it takes me a few nights like that to get back into the routine.

My partner and i both work night shifts during the week so at weekends we stay in night mode and go to bed as late as we can so helping to keep our body clocks a little in night mode, it works for us

I don't have a shift pattern. 7 week rota, 14 nights shifts, 7 day shifts.

2 on, 3 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 2 off, 2 on for nights. Then 7 days off, 4 on, 5 days off, 3 on.

Makes no damn sense.

And my body clock goes to hell. But we have a new manager who is hopefully going to sort something out.

I'll go home from this night shift, sleep for 3 or so hours. Get up, stomp around the house like a moody cow, yell at the parrot, possibly yell at my housemates, then go to bed tonight and all will be good!

Man up!! That's 48hrs to turn your body around. If I get called in, I sometimes don't even get 24 hours!
