Just checked it would cost me £29 for my lad and me to get into Dover castle for a visit. I can get a years english heritage pass for £50 and he would come free as he's under 6.. Might do that instead x |

"Warwick Castle is spectacular, if overpriced. I love Northumbria and Wales for their castles. "
I know everything is overpriced however I'd much rather do that than Alton towers where it is unlikely I would go on any rides |

"I haven't been to a real castle for years, Edinburgh was the last one. However I do seem to have a penchant for building 'Castles in the Air'"
Do you ever question your life,
Do you ever wonder why?
Do you ever see in your dreams,
All the castles in the sky.
Oh tell me why, do we build castles in the sky
Oh tell me why, all the castles way up high,
Please tell me why, do we build castles in the sky
Oh tell me why, all the castles way up high.

I actually build a castle in fact a number of them and they were fine specimens of olde English gothic architecture. Then the Irish sea claimed all ten of them and returned to Blackpool beach! |

Love Berwick Castle. Was in North Wales last week there's a castle round every corner!

Not sure if you use Tesco Clubcard Cheeky - but just looked, as I thought you could do Warwick Castle with it. And yes you can for £6.50 in vouchers for an adult's one day pass.
I love Warwick Castle, had annual membership there last year, so went loads to make the most of the money it cost. It's good at Halloween too with the headless horseman.
Eastnor Castle - isn't a proper castle, but it's lovely to visit and not too far from me. Their firework competition in the Deer Park is spectacular! |

"I absolutely love castles and old stately homes, I want to go see Eilean donan but one of my favourite places is Melrose abbey." Eilean Donan castle is fantastic plus the Kyle of Lochalsh I went there many years ago to visit after the first Highlander film was situated there it was magical

Ive camped in many castles across England & Wales due to doing Wars of the Roses reenactment stuff. Its fantastic once the public have gone & the beers come out around the fire, really atmospheric.
We did get shouted at by the custodian at a certain Castle on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border, as (somewhat d*unk) we were making rather rude shadow puppet plays in the floodlights and apparently it could be seen clear across the town! |

"A beautiful place to visit.
Just did a photoshoot at a castle venue too, truly spectacular. Anything beats being indoors."
Try Corfe Castle. Thanks to Cromwell and his bunch of Merry Men you can be outside inside if you get what I mean! |
