The land of grey peas and bacon

With the weather getting nicer it makes me want to go to Warwick castle. I love places like that.

A beautiful place to visit.

Just did a photoshoot at a castle venue too, truly spectacular. Anything beats being indoors.

Kent

I live within 10 mins walk of 2 castles. Neither are very exciting. Dover is meant to be better but it's stupidly expensive!

Somewhere in North Norfolk

The castle in Norwich is a museum. It's a very striking building and an interesting place to visit.

I've not been for ages. I should go soon.

Just checked it would cost me £29 for my lad and me to get into Dover castle for a visit. I can get a years english heritage pass for £50 and he would come free as he's under 6.. Might do that instead x

Warwick Castle is spectacular, if overpriced. I love Northumbria and Wales for their castles.

I know everything is overpriced however I'd much rather do that than Alton towers where it is unlikely I would go on any rides

I haven't been to a real castle for years, Edinburgh was the last one. However I do seem to have a penchant for building 'Castles in the Air'

Do you ever question your life,

Do you ever wonder why?

Do you ever see in your dreams,

All the castles in the sky.

Oh tell me why, do we build castles in the sky

Oh tell me why, all the castles way up high,

Please tell me why, do we build castles in the sky

Oh tell me why, all the castles way up high.

I actually build a castle in fact a number of them and they were fine specimens of olde English gothic architecture. Then the Irish sea claimed all ten of them and returned to Blackpool beach!

Not sure if you use Tesco Clubcard Cheeky - but just looked, as I thought you could do Warwick Castle with it. And yes you can for £6.50 in vouchers for an adult's one day pass.

I love Warwick Castle, had annual membership there last year, so went loads to make the most of the money it cost. It's good at Halloween too with the headless horseman.

Eastnor Castle - isn't a proper castle, but it's lovely to visit and not too far from me. Their firework competition in the Deer Park is spectacular!

Give Rockingham Castle a try if it's not too far.

It doesn't have the scale of Warwick or the larger castles but it has an interesting history and is really pretty.

Ive camped in many castles across England & Wales due to doing Wars of the Roses reenactment stuff. Its fantastic once the public have gone & the beers come out around the fire, really atmospheric.

We did get shouted at by the custodian at a certain Castle on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border, as (somewhat d*unk) we were making rather rude shadow puppet plays in the floodlights and apparently it could be seen clear across the town!
