Do you think it necessary to have a name and shame section on the site I know at present its against the site rules. There is a positive side with the verifications but no negative. I personally have no problem with people cancelling even at short notice, but not to provide any form of explanation or excuse is rude please discuss |

I wish i'd been given a pound for every time this 1 pops up, there is no point at all having a naming a shaming as it's open to abuse, it will never happen hence the introduction of the block facility, what you or I may consider a time waster could be a good meet in some one elses opinion, block them and move on |

watch the forums for a week
watch chat for a week
observe the squabbles that happen..
multiply that by 100 ( as percentage of site users using forums and chat is very low ) and then imagine if there was a name and shame policy.....
what would it be like.. |

"Should of done my research apologies to all. Just the no explanation or excuse got to me think this a dead subject again sorry"
Sorry have to ask, have you come across one of these so called time wasters who didn't show for a meet and didn't give an explanation or an excuse? |

See that chucklevision guy.... we arranged a meet and he never turned up, what a complete timewaster....
Of course.... the above is made up.... but what is stopping people making stuff up about others.... would just be a slanging match.

Yup just had one! I suppose At Least he sent me a text..makes me feel sooo much better.
He has a hangover, poor thing!
We were arranged days ago so underwhelmed to say the least!
Afterall, its not like I put off other peeps as I had a confirmed meet!
Its not like I exfoliated, gave myself a pedicure, did extra work so I could pay my way, walked my dog in the pouring rain this morning (so I could leave her for a few hours tonight), or didn't have a Sunday roast (as don't like to eat a heavy meal before playing)
or bought new stockings and knickers.....

thats what peeves me about no shows or late cancellations - ladies take far longer to prepare than a guy who showers and gets dressed! |

In fairness to the men that cancel tho, sometimes they have re arranged work commitments to fit in time to see me and I end up having to cancel as little one got another ear infection this week. Luckily little one slept well that night and went to school fine but have had to cancel for this reason before.
If I ever have to cancel which I have had due to kids being ill then have always mailed or text the person as soon as I have realised.
I always feel bad as each time would have been looking forward to the meet and it also puts them out if they have shiften work to meet me.
It also takes me hours to get ready too so know how you feel when its cancelled. New undies and stockings etc all mount up too.
There are those that cancel for silly reasons and those that cancel for real reasons.
Hangover...silly reason. |

yes too open for abuse...for example... I could be called a timewaster by someone who showed up at my door for a meet and I turned them away ,they could state that they drove over an hour to get to me and then I got mad and told them to leave....and in the same situation I could say they were timewasters as they decided to bring a mate with them and not think of telling me...just an example that could possibly happen...lol |

Many of us at some time or other have to cancel a meet. Not something I enjoy doing. However I have cancelled two meets in the last couple of months as the people concerned have turned a simple meet into a nightmare, with dozens of text and msn messages along with desperate messages on here everytime I have logged on, just to confirm the details, date time etc even though everything had already been confirmed in advance, in both cases I ended up thinking "I don't need this" and cancelling the meets, but in both cases I told the people concerned that I was not comfortable with meeting them.
Does this make me a time waster? probably so in some eyes it does.
Not everyone has what it takes to tell the other party why they no longer wish to meet like I did, so before you brand someone a time waster please consider their circumstances and your own actions regarding your meet as none of us are perfect! |
