This is a tricky one for me as I always lose all my weight from my face/ribs first so my top half ends up looking very skinny and my thighs not so much..
Some people are very slim naturally I was speaking to a friend last week and she eats like a horse and can't get above 8 stone and she's 5ft 8 and hates it. i personally think she looks ok but she's got a very boyish figure, no boobs, straight up and down and no bum. But she doesn't look ill. Too skinny for me is looking thin to the point you look Ill. Like my friend with an ED obsessing over every calorie and exercising for hours a day. She's far to thin but can't see it herself. I hope she gets her demons under control one day. |

"Ribs on show and pointy pelvis.
Seeing the pelvis bone sticking out on a woman is something I don't find attractive. Women should always have a bit of meat on their hips "
You can't choose where you lose/gain weight from though. Unfortunately! |

I come from a long line of skinny gits. On the other hand, we live forever and keep our marbles, but do have bad skin. I think I'm up on the deal, even though I'm more familiar with E45 cream than I want to be. |

An old friend of mine I saw recently is what I'd call too skinny. Considering she had a baby just before Xmas and I've heard she's flat out taking speed and all the time. Her thighs in jeans looked like toothpicks her collar bones were all jutting out, face looked sunken and gaunt.
I wouldn't say size 6 was too skinny, I've seen women that are size 6 but pure muscle, no ribs sticking out and big thighs and calves. |

My friend is like that. She's a PT/exercise class teacher and does about 25 hours of classes a week from spin to weights. I call her the terminator. She's tiny but solid. Not an ounce of fat in her. She looks amazing x |

When the spine can be seen...
Other than that, pointy hips...hot, some ribs....hot, back dimples ...hot, cute belly button...hot, collar bones... Hot, skinny legs are OK...not really bothered about them. |

Thanks for your insights guys.
Feeling a bit self consciously too skinny at the min, but struggling to put the weight back on! Was curious on the general consensus, and seems most so far would agree with my self assessment!

That's a daft comment. Clothes sizes are totally different with different heights for example. a mate of mine is 4ft 10, a size 6 and doesn't look remotely scrawny! |

You can't base it on a clothes size. One size 6 or 8 will look completely different to another depending on their natural build, height, muscle ratio etc.
I think too skinny is when they don't look like they're supposed to be that thin. Some people are naturally slim and it suits them. Others it really doesn't. |

Don't listen to what anyone on here says, go by how you feel about yourself and trust that you know your own body. |

Absolutely. At 5ft 6 and about 8 stone I currently feel too skinny and am on a meal plan to increase my weight healthily, as I do have a bit of the ribs and hips thing going on and am classed as underweight by my gp.
I guess in part I was trying to get an insight into how much this might put off potential meets. Of course its all preference, but whereas you see many people that are specific lovers of BBW, you dont see many lovers of the opposite end of the spectrum. I frequently see more profiles that rule out 'stick insects' than include them.
Even the ones that say they prefer slim people tack on the proviso of 'not too skinny'.
Hence the how skinny is too skinny question! |

I lost 4kg with a sickness bug a month ago, and am trying to put it back on because i was getting tired of people telling me Ive lost weight as I'm pretty slim anyway and tall with it. Managed to put nearly 3kg back on so far. |

"It's quite sad still seeing these type of questions on here. Can't we all just accept everyone for who they are rather than their size or what is too skinny or too fat. "
Why do you feel my question is sad? |

Because from experience these threads never end well it turns into a barrage of nasty comments by all sizes. I just find it sad to see that people are still having to justify their size if they are fat or thin. however in the next breath I should completely ignore size threads. I don't think you asked a bad question it just sometimes fuels people to make really nasty comments. However this is an open forum and we are all entitled to ask any questions I should as stated learn to avoid threads regarding size. |

Ah I see.
I haven't taken offense at any comments, and none have escalated to anything nasty that I can see.
For me I was genuinely curious what peoples opinions are. I searched for 'skinny' and it came up with lots of threads relating to 'do you prefer curvy or skinny'...but none that actually answered what 'too skinny' is.
I see this mentioned on a lot of profiles, so what exactly is 'too skinny'.
The comments thus far have more than adequately answered my question, so I'm happy |

For a lot of people, I am the definition of "too skinny"! Still, I totally ubderstand that.
However, others enjoy it. All in all, up to the person judging! Accepting offers of interest though! |

"Is it when they lie down, as if by magic, sir patrick moore appears and begins playing them like a xylophone"
So THATS who that was!
He appeared in a poof of smoke, chucked a Ham sandwich, then proceeded to get a jolly good tune out of me
...and what a lovely pianist |
