Talk to you about sex, do you feel awkward? I can talk about sex with friends etc, but not with parents. It feels weird. Some things I don't want to know about. Is it just me? What about you? |

My mum i can, she's pretty non-judgmental and acts relaxed about it, although i know she is a bit embarrassed. Not my dad though, he thinks i'm a slag, he's a hater. |

I don't have any parents but as a parent there are some things I don't want to know about my kids sex life, I'm OK talking about sex in general, like when they were young and asked questions that's fine but my 20 year old daughter feels the need to go into full HD details about what she did last night

I don't really talk to my Dad about sex.. I know he is a pervert.. he knows I am but that's about it.
However my kids come to me to ask me things. and are quite comfy to talk to me.. I think I feel more awkward at times.. but always give them my honest opinion. Thankfully only 2 of my children are naughty like that so far.

I have always been able to talk to my mum about sex.She knows I have sex with friends. I show my parents my photos I take but they are not aware I am on here. My daughter talks to me, which was great when she was first going to have sex with her boyfriend. A family trip to the local clinic  |

My parents were so uptight about sex when I was young, especially my mum, that it's actually laughable now. I was handed a book when I was 11 and told to ask any questions, as if I was going to do that! My father stood outside my bedroom door once and gave me a long speech about losing control which I didn't understand. That was the entirety of my parental sex education, the rest I learned as I went along.
Now in their eighties they are slightly more open but still consider me "vulgar". |

Would be doubly awkward in my case as they've both passed on!
But yes, when I was much younger, my parents were quite chaste in certain ways so it would not have felt comfortable had they suddenly become vastly liberal regards sex chat

My mum has always been extremely open about everything, good if you needed to talk to her as a kid but bad in knowing far much than I care too.
Classic example and completely true, she had a couple of friends round and they had a few drinks and I got the joy of finding out "Jeff was nice but he was a bippity bopper, but Pete.... Pete was huge"
The plus side is I'm the same, no scruples at all and approachable about anything. |
