Every now and then i'm struck by other peoples inability to drive and think at the same time.
I followed a guy with his indicator signalling left for a mile and a half this morning.I thought he was stopping, then just before i overtook he turned right. I ended up shouting and screaming at him and resorting to a wee-bit close to road rage but only verbally.
What are your peeves for other drivers? What is your road rage trigger? |

i learnt the hard way by being prosecuted for criminal damage to another mans car
the golden rule is under no circumstances get out of your own car , you just have to grin and bear it
but if you cant do that , providing the road conditions prevailing are suitable , smash into the fucker |

Aggressive drivers full stop... I tend to think that the slow person in front - annoying as they may be - could be a learner driver or an elderly person with less than perfect eyesight.
By showing your impatience you could make them panic and crash.... |

surely learners drivers should be displaying L plates and those with impaired vision should not be driving! |

those that panic like the lady today, 50mph on a wide straight road with a 60mph limit who i was just speeding up to overtake when she spotted the speed camera van about 20yards away and slammed her brakes on hard to low down (the nervous unsure type) or the geek in his 10 plate merc I over took doing 45 in a short line of traffic with a gap in front of hin who starts all sorts of gesticulations for no reason when i pull in then a few mins later comes flying down a clear road i am sat at 60 then squeezes past and brakes to 50. (just a small penis in a big new car who did not like been passed by a old motor) |

People of a certain age who cant even hear their engine or feel it although everyone else can hear it.
I regularly wish there was a mandatory ability test for those of a certain age.
My neighbour is 80 odd and wish he wasnt driving. He cant hear the car engine or clearly feel it and searched for ages to find the biting point.
In general my dislikes are thise driving in rain or dark with no lights on. Those stuck up my ass.
Those driving at 40/50 in a 60 speed limit(yes I know it is a limit and for people to drive up to it)
And those that dont indicate or dont use slip roads.
Am generally a polite calm driver as normally have kids in the car.
My language goes as far as saying "o you silly man). My 9 year old thinks me saying flippin is a swear word. lol |

People who drive down our street -a narrow cul de sac- who then try to do a 20 point turn with cars parked nose to tail on both sides of the street.
If they can't bloody reverse they shouldn't have a license.
You wouldn't believe the times I've had to go out and reverse their feckin cars out of the street to save damage to the other vehicles, tossers! R

I hate the kids with baseball caps on playing bass at top volume with exhausts bigger than a fisted fanny driving round supermarket carparks on an evening. Its sound pollution and it really annoys me. |

Its the time of year where you find people doing 35 in 60 because road is a bit greasy or its getting dark.
People who leave foglights on when its not foggy - I assume they have no idea what the light on the dashboard means!
People who can't park - two claims have been car park dents when I've not been there, one left a note, and one did not!!! |

Rage is an emotion, so can be controlled by the rational part of the brain, easier said than done, but when it happens to me, i TRY to engage the rational side of the brain and not my emotional side.

Someone cutting me up pretty much always pushes my buttons.
Some days it's like my car has been fitted with a cloaking device like what the Klingons have off of the Telly. I travel around invisible with freaks veering at me.
Still can't find the button to switch it off. |

People who indicate too soon on a roundabout
People who dont thank me when i stop to let them past
People toodling along at 20 mph in a 40 mph zone
People who tailgate with full beam on
People who block my driveway when there are parking spaces available
Old fools that buy powerful cars or 4x4's they cant control or park
Bring in compulsory testing at 60 yrs old, sooner we get them off the road, the better, afterall they are the 2nd worst drivers in England |

A joke for everyone
I left my car in a car park the other day, when I came back to it the bumper and rear lights were all smashed up. Then I found this note under the wiper. It said: "I just accidentally reversed into your car. Quite a few people saw me do it. They think I'm leaving my name and details.
Well, I'm not."

Not if you pass your test it wont! Sorry but im fed up with sitting in a queue of traffic only to find the silly old fool at the front is so far from the sensors, the lights dont change, of watching the silly woman in a 4x4 park half on the walkway at Morrisons as she is not in control of her car. Also when im on my way to work, i get fed up with people sunday driving!
And mine will be in 10 yrs time |

those that try overtaking you in the inside lane!,you look in your mirror and can see them coming up towards you weaving from lane to lane and then they see a chance in the inside lane, foot goes down and up they come,as they get close to you you put your foot down and match their speed, they soon come to a halt as they do not want to slow down but come up to other slow moving traffic in the inside lane, just keep the fookers boxed in!. |

ban them from the roads til they at least 30 years of age and with a bit of common sense i say!. |

how much more deadly do they need to be?,they cause deadly accidents on motorways?.
well the thing is they never see the problems or accidents caused by their thoughtlees & reckless driving do they?,they are so dead intent on getting from A2B they just weave in and out diving through gaps forcing other cars to brake to avoid them as they weave from lane to lane causing havoc behind them!,they just put the foot down and get out of the way leaving others to untangle the mess left behind them!.
i used to see it everymorning on M40 going through buckinghamshire and it is getting more common now on other motorways i have used,i am sure you used to only be able to overtake on the right hand side at one time?. |

Overtaking should be done from the right.
BUT - Overtaking traffic that is moving slowly in the middle lane is legal.
It's usally moving slowly because of thoughtless drivers who won't use the inside lane.
Some of them do very juvenile and deadly things like .... speeding up when they see someone moving more quickly than they are. Instead of driving safely they imagine they are there to police other drivers. How sad would a person have to be to focus more on getting one over on someone else than on driving their own vehicle properely. ?
I've just come down the M40 from London. Couldn't see it for water I drove my car. Not everyone elses. |

I mean the newly qualified ones, and yes in theory those with impaired vision should not drive but some do unfortunately - I am just conscious I would not want to contribute to anybody making a mistake that they would not have made if somebody had not been pushing them if that makes sense? |

you have to be aware when driving what is all around you including in front and behind you!,that is why you have wing mirrors!.
when you are in a long line of traffic overtaking slow moving heavy laden lorries why should we safe drivers jam our brakes on to let the idiots who think they are lewis hamilton nuudge in after shooting up the inside lane?.it causes a bad knock on effect all the way down the lane.
and the M40 does often look and feel like a river and that is why you should be ultra carefull, when travelling on M40. |

The idiot police officer in bilston today who drifted into our lane over the crest of a hill (two lanes each way over the bridge) who then at the trafic lights decided he was in the wrong lane and switched on his blues to gain advantage over other motorists then switched them off again after completeing his monourve, shame i could not catch up with him or i would have given him a piece of my mind,( not for the first time either)He should set the example his driving is a disgrace. |

Keep your eyes on the road !! "
Sorry to say i look in peoples cars when i am overtaking.. Primarily to ensure that they have spotted me and are not going to pull over into me because they cant see me in their blind spot
My pet peeve.. Drivers placing themselves and not their cars in the centre of a lane
This causes problems with them weaving in and out of the lane markings.. |

Oh and one more pet peeve.. And this tends to be at myself..
When I have lost the count.. Ie the road and car positions behind me.. And then out of nowhere a car arrives..
That i blame myself for losing the count..

In heavy traffic when someone cuts you up to change lain in front of you and risks an accident. It gets frustrating but wouldn't take it further as its not worth the hassle. |

A safe driver would never deliberately speed up.
I promise you there is no need to inform me of rules of the road and why cars have wing mirrors but thanks anyway.
I don't speed up to block others. I DO use my mirrors. I WAS driving sensibly. It wasn't me who admitted to deliberately speeding up to cause others to be jammed in and have to slow down. It was someone else. |
