I have let my hair grow for a few months without dyeing it. My grey roots are about 6 inches now. I'm growing out the red. I'm really looking forward to a new colour soon but can't decide which colour. |

"Not today.
Am doing mine blue, have got it all over my neck and shoulders (and last time i dyed it i got it on my face too).
"
If you rub vaseline around the edges of your hair line before you dye it it washes off any smudges easy |

I'm using Splash brand, don't know what they put in it but it's really strong. Is a good dye that lasts way longer than other blues though so that's good.
Thanks, vaseline doesn't help with this brand. I'll just have to wait for a new layer of skin to grow... |

"Mine is brown on top and red underneath. I'm thinking of doing mine blue - is it higher maintenance than the red ladies? Xx"
Usually blue washes out pretty quickly and is the hardest to put in your hair in the first place.
I've used directions and schwartzkopf live, and they're not long lasting. This one is Splat and does last ages and goes in easily, but like i said it's really strong and dyes anything it touches... |

Probably a week, think that's how long it took for the smudge on my face to go last time. |

"yes....I scare myself at how grey I am
Found my first grey at 13 xx"
11 here. My natural hair colour is so dark they really bloody stand out.
Oh, and fag ash mixed into a paste with shampoo is a great skin dye remover. I shouldn't have given up smoking, I need to do my roots this weekend. |

I used to have long mermaid purple hair, but now it's all faded and grown out, the ends are greeny blue, but the rest is this horrible natural colour. I'm coming to the end of my degree, and I don't know how my future boss would feel about purple hair (I miss it SO much though).
I think when I start work, I'll ask them about it, and see if they'll let me inspect properties in South London with bright blue/purple hair - it was definitely a talking point and I felt so confident and sexy with it!
FUCK IT - I think that when I get some money in, I'm going back to blue, baby!!!! |

I did mine earlier today as we were going out tonight and it makes me feel so much better. My hair feels lovely and soft and the colour is so much more vibrant when it's freshly done.

Mine is naturally strawberry blonde (NOT GINGER) and I generally go for ash blonde, but I've had pink, yellow, blue, turquoise, purple, red and my hairdresser is trying a steel grey on me next time...I also have plans for 5 colours for The Fockers birthday bash in June...I may have to grow old, but I'll be fucked if I'm gonna grow up |

I'm properly salt and pepper (increasingly salt!) and I love it. It suits me. I think fellas have got it so much easier because greying hair doesn't look bad on most men. |

I've been my natural colour ginger/strawberry blonde now for a couple of years after spending most my teens and adult life but I actually feel more confident a d get more complements on it now than I ever did colouring it |

Grey hairs look much more attractive on men than they do women. |

It's fun and I agree on using a barrier for safe sex, sorry safe dye interaction. Sometimes I just use copious amounts of a good moisturizer instead of Vaseline. Has been as effective and I'm a little apprehensive about buying loads of Vaseline. |
