The other week I was completely stupid and made a comment in the forums about a fellow poster !!!! that comment was neither called for nor funny.
I was banned and rightly so.
Therefore I humbly and sincerely aplogise not only to the person my crass comment was aimed at but to all the people who may have read what I said.

Well its nice your taking the time to say sorry. Why do people get nasty to others when most of the time thay dont know in s and outs ,,, I think at times people go on how thay felt and what somthing or someone done to them and it comes back and make them think about how hurt how mad thay was. Maybe not sure. Or just get out of bed the wrong side in the morning x |

Personally I wouldn't have mentioned it. If you felt the need to apologise then apologise to the person involved, those of us on the forums don't need to be involved, even after the fact! |

bans can be infinite
we were banned for about 3 months , for saying that another person was talking "bull shit"
where others are banned a week for saying far worse
it is not an easy job for the moderators who have to keep the peace , and im sure sometimes it can be a thankless task
but i am gratefull for the work they do in keeping the forums running smoothly
it seems to mirror the judicial system of everyday life where one person can get sent to prison for stealing a loaf of bread , and another gets a £30 fine
both sets of punishment are seen as fair by the judge administering them at the time
as for the person sent to prison it of course will help there cause if for example they have networking contacts to the appeal board when they ask for early release , just like a banned member on here might ask another for assistence when they meet at a club event
anyway ............. just like the OP , i have learnt my lesson and under no circumstances whatsoever will ever say anything nasty to another member  |

and the reason I posted a forum apology is because there were other people on that particular post that were upset/annoyed/disapointed.
And I thought this was best place to say sorry.

Well done you. It takes a man to stand up and apologise to a person direct. It takes even more to put an apology up in the forum for all to see and comment.
We do get it wrong sometimes and you post something then think after da,n I shouldnt have said that or could have said it better.
I applaud you and your apology has probably covered all those concerned that were upset anout your original comment.

Just a quick thing to point out.
NO ONE gets banned for anything trivial....sometimes bans are giving out for a one off abuse if it is really bad......but most people will get only get a ban after been given a couple of chances.
The last comment you made is probably just the icing on the cake......so when people say " I only said this and I got banned" they have normally conveniently forgotten a few other comments beforehand. |
