You think you know someone....you trust them, know them for years and years.....then they go and get themselves on the sex offenders register!!
(nobody off here I hasten to add)

A guy I used to be really good friends with is currently in prison in France for murderIng his friends dad.. I was so shocked when I found out! |

It's a horrible feeling when you are dealt with such a blow  so many questions and going over things to see if you missed something. Harsh reality is they are devious and clever and knew how to go about it without raising suspicion Hope your okay x and don't beat yourself up about it xx |

Agree with others , doesn't mean you're a bad judge if character , just that some people have a hidden side. Look at people like The Yorkshire Ripper - hid that evil side for years. There are many other similar examples. |

It totally depends on what he's on it for .
I think you can be put on it for dogging so it's not always as bad as you think . |

I don't think anybody would openly admit something like that to a friend so you were not to know.
Sometimes we can't know everything about somebody close to us... Like I'm sure a lot of folk hide the fact their swingers.
I certainly don't tell the world half of the stuff I get upto!

The vast majority of child abusers are never caught and are often pillars of the community. The same goes for abusive and violent partners.

Don't beat yourself up. It's the same way no one believes abuse victims because 'but they're such a nice guy!' or similar. That's how people manage to get away with the abuse for so long because no one would believe the victim if they came forward, or at least, that's what the victim is made to think. You can see that with what's happening with Jimmy Saville and Rolf Harris and similar. Not all villains and saints in this world are obvious like in disney films, it's not all dark and light. xx |

People hide parts of themselves. I don't mean anything by this analogy as I'm a swinger myself, but I'm sure there are lots of people who would never consider S to be a swinger because he doesn't (and can't) come across that way in his professional life. I know you's are all right....I'd be giving out the same advice I really would be...I'm just a bit wobbly is all, feel a bit like i dropped the ball on this one (i know I didn't...he fooled his own partner and family) but Iys been building and I just had to vent and be told it's not me I guess...silly as it sounds.....

Once its sank in op, you will come to realise that its no reflection on you whatsoever, right now you will feel like you should have somehow known or seen some kind of signs, but you will realise you could never have known, because those types of people are experts at keeping everything hidden right up until that one moment they slip up and are caught, he will get whats due to him now as these things get known roundabout and spread, and this will now stick with him for the rest of his miserable life. |
