I've done the norm , like marmite , cheese , marmite and cheese , jam , peanut butter , white choc spread .
Love crumpets , but it's just getting a bit...... Urh ...... Now .
Maybe thinking a cheese with tomato and chilli chutney ????

Whisk up an egg, and dip the crumpet in the egg, and shallow fry. In the meantime cook some bacon and grate some cheese.
Once the crumpet is done, stick some cheese on top and grill for 2 minutes. Then chop up a fresh green chilli (or leave out if you dislike the spice) and put on top, and put bacon on top, and voila.

Had to make do with with plain old cheese earlier as the chutney had gone out of date . "
It is very nice with really crispy smoked bacon |
