Good afternoon folks hope everyone's ok in this vile weather.

Seeing as my iphone eats my battery pretty quickly i was looking into getting a external power bank while im out and away from a charging point. Does anyone have any experience with these and which are the best ones?

I've got a couple of Anker external batteries that I use at festivals...about £20 from Amazon.

They work on any device with a USB port and are good for about 5 full charges of my phone.

I've got one called something like Juice Weekend. No idea if it's the best one but it holds about 6 Iphone charges and you can charge other devices with it too. Found it really handy when my phone was on its last legs and running out of battery every few hours.

how long are you getting out of your iphone.... because there are little simple things you can do that will increase the normal better life greatly...

simple things like closing all your apps after you have used them...

turning off bluetooth....

turning off location services as it is them trying so much harder with gps...

the 3d look (perspective view) on the front of the phone can be turned off.....

I find a few battery saving tips , turn off wifi when out and about and set the email to manual collect. I am surprised how much longer my battery lasts just by doing them

I've got a Afendo 5000mAH Dual USB external battery. It has twin USB ports so you can charge at 1 or 2 amps (whatever that means) You need to pay attention the mAH as if the supplied power is less than the battery of the device it's charging it won't be able to supply a full charge.

The right place

My iPhone battery was rubbish so I ordered a replacement one from eBay (less than £5). It came with the tools to open up the phone. It's only a ten minute job to change it.

YouTube has videos to show you how.

Good as new, Simples!

I was surprised when my work gave me one for my iphone recently but I'd bought on a plane a year ago for £20...saved my bacon one night when my battery was low & i needed my maps! Good investment imo!

Switching Fetch New Data to Manually will help save battery power.

The latest Android update has killed the battery life on my phone! Not that the battery would last the 5 days at Glastonbury/every other festival we go to without a little outside help anyway, hence the external battery packs. They also get used to charge the Bluetooth speakers we've got and my laptop so I can upload photos and reviews every evening so I don't have so much to do when we get home
