Just looking at the local updates and in the past 24 hours 4 people have joined, but when I've looked on the profiles, they haven't even bothered with it, some have just put some numbers and others have lefts a couple of dots, I mean what a waste of memory space on the server this is, I think the profiles should have a minimum character count to at least make them put something of interest.  |

That does happen on quite a few forums/sites that I join.

When we joined we didn't put anything at all on the profile as we didn't know what we wanted to say. It was a few days before a profile went on.
Give them a break, they have only been on 24 hours  |

OK, but not all who join are like yourselves, indeed there are quite a few profiles from peeps who have been on the site for sometime and still have little to nothing in their profile.  |

People do join to look at the site to see if they will like it. If we start saying you must do this and that don't you think it will reduce the number of new members? |

Rugger just to add to this, we have seen profiles where they have been on for months and nothing has been changed...just "will fill in when we know what to write" or "will add in time"... some of these have been "online" for over 6 months... and then they expect others, who give themselves loads of trouble to write a profile with "dislikes and likes", to answer back to msg's... Think agree with OP that after 2 weeks a minimum should be completed...like "We are after Rugger as she is sexy"... giggles Helen |

I prefer they keep the profile as they think their profile should be..... a 3 month old "will fill this in later" tells me all I need to know and saves me the time of reading a longer version of bollox to find it out. |

Some of the empty profiles could well belong to mischief makers.
They'll maybe trawl the site looking for people they know,just to cause them trouble.
