So I just read something where someone had come out as "Panromantic Demisexual" and identified as genderfluid.
I had to read the comments to work out what all that meant!
Is it just me who thinks all these labels are getting out of control? I see myself as bisexual. The only label I have given myself was when I was in a relationship with a woman but saw myself (at the time) as predominantly fancying men.. Then I was "straight with a girlfriend"
Is there really any need to have so many labels that everyone can pick one that is EXACTLY how they feel?
Just wondering whether other FAB people like to be able to label themselves in such a way? |

I find it amusing and also confusing considering one of my paid jobs is writing
Language evolves naturally
Otherwise we would all still be grunting like cavemen or speaking like Shakespeare
"foresooth fair maiden laden thy neighbour with thouest charms"

Made a mess of the last post so try again...
I think most people feel the need to try to explain their sexuality and to label it.
On fab it helps people find others that fit what the are looking for.
Personally I don't care how people choose to label themselves, either you fancy someone or you don't.
Hubby is most definitely straight but comfortable around other guys.
I define myself on Fab as bisexual as I do enjoy playing with both sexes, though I've never had a relationship with a woman. If I were to describe my real life sexuality it is probably closer to something weird like "loves men but thinks women are hot too!" |

"I'm bi-selfish; I don't care who gives me an orgasm as long as I get one. "
Ha nice!
I was just pondering it as for lots of people sexuality is quite fluid. I know I flit between craving men and women can't imagine having to re-label myself every week! |

I'm not sure why people struggle with this.
We have labels so during a conversation it's possible to make reference to that type of person/thing.
As for the whole sexuality question, that's pretty easy too
If you fancy to opposite sex and get sexually turned on by them your heterosexual
If you fancy both sexes and get sexually turned on by them your bisexual
If you fancy the same sex and get sexually turned on by them your homosexual.
If you only do it at the week end or on a leap year. Or you happen to dress like some ones fairy godmother whilst doing it makes no difference.

I feel it's all part of the modern day culture we live in. People trying to stand out from the crowd. 'Hey, everybody look at me I'm different and really really interesting!!'
Just an extension of the whole social media and reality show cobbler's where people are trying to out do each other and stand out from the crowd.
You are what you are. No need to put a label on yourself. Just shut up and get on with your life |

I think there's a large element of people wanting to be seen as special lickel flowers with this huge rise in names for variations which are minor at best. Most people shift during their lives anyway so best to avoid labeling too much unless you really have a strong preference one way or another. |

Why do we have lables, because my lovelies your not the only person in the world, and most people arnt interested in you enough to want to get to know you. So a short descriptive name for what type of person you are is enough.
I'm sure you are all unique special little flowers just like everyone one else |

"How about bar codes on cocks? Fantastic at supermarket check outs"
Well it would give a purpose to all those cock pictures.
You could then just scan the picture and find out if some one likes bum sex and rub munching |

"I was labelling myself as straight but curious but that has passed as things have changed beyond my control. So I'm just straight "
Straight curious, so you wondered what it would be like to be straight? |
