birmingham

Just sold my troublesome focus diesel, and to someone I know, I tried putting him off totally honest about the trouble I have had with it, but he wanted it all the same, Hope it last 12 months before I goes wrong again.

Now it's time for me to find a new car, going to see an 56 plate fiesta in a little while, isn't it a pain in the bum

I haven't brought a 2nd hand car in twenty years, that can be painful!

But on the whole, yes 2nd hand cars are a pain in the arse.

How can you say they are a pain in the arse when you haven't done it for 20years?

On the whole, I have been pretty lucky. Had around 10 second hand cars in the space of 35 years. The total amount I have spent on cars, wouldn't amount to a half decent new one. I suppose it depends how fussy you are. I live with niggling faults, like the odd electric window that doesn't work. I don't spend any unnecessary money on old cars. The cars I have owned, that have developed more serious faults, have always been after three years or more, and I usually scrap.

Cars are just a pain in the arse full stop....

I don't own one any more, and have no intention of owning one again....much easier and cheaper on public transport.

It's only a pain in the arse when it's 6pm on a Sunday and you need a motor for Monday morning, bangernomics.
