Speaking as someone who does painting and puts up said signs. If I saw you deliberately touching it a smack in the mouth may follow.

Think about this when you are deliberately fucking up someone's work.

Would you walk into a cake shop and punch a decorated cake just coz you know you're not supposed to?

No you would not.

So why sabotage someone's work?

Horsham

Why touch it, this makes me chuckle.

When ever there is a pool of liquid in work on the floor, someone has to put their bare finger in it. I am waiting for the day the liquid is acid or something equally nasty.

Whenever I see a sign "Wet Paint" I always wonder, is this a notice or an instruction?

Been tempted to pee on it just to see the painters reaction !

I can just picture da Vinci putting up a wet paint sign on his paintings and. Threatening to punch anyone who poked it

I would actually touch the paint just so I could hear that line. The unfortunate side affect of a punch will have to be suffered

Milton Keynes

There's a funny story of when James Whistler finshed painting a master portrait and Mark Twain was looking at it. Whistler said "be very carefull, the paint hasn't dried yet" to which Twain replied "its ok, i still have my gloves on".

That's like the sign I saw as a teenager , electric fence do not touch.

Guess who touched it twice as the first time it didn't do anything

I almost always try to avoid it, but always end up leaning against it or touching wet paint accidentally..

Why is it though your more likely to check if the paint IS wet, yet when someone says 'theres a billion stars in the sky' u just agree with them...

Glad I'm not the only one. This urge became quite obsessive for a while.
