Now i love my Yorkshire puds, but I couldn't eat them without a big dollop of butter in the middle.

My better half cringes, thinks I'm discusting, and says you should only eat them with gravy.

Whats the general consensus of Yorkie pud filling? I'm sure there are wierd & wonderful fillings I'm missing out on.

Menston near Ilkley

Butter??????? utter sacrilege, the only items allowed other than onion gravy are a sprinkling of sugar or a dribbling of golden syrup.

They should be eaten as a starter with just gravy before a Sunday roast, any other way is just plain wrong, in my humble yorkshire opinion lol

Find them best with a roast with gravy, or on a buffet filled with mince, also funnily enough even though they are called Yorkshire puddings, find the best are made outside of yorkshire.

Giant Yorkshire with stew and dumps is lovely, with your Sunday dinner is acceptable, but before with gravy is also acceptable, with butter is completely and utterly bonkers

Have them as a starter with gravy only . Traditional in Yorkshire.

My granddad used to give us leftover ones cold with jam on.

Yum.
