What's it like meeting forum regulars having been on here for ages?

I think I'd be a bit star struck. Give Tina Titz a massive hug. Ask Mikki to give me a makeover and get Christos' autograph.

Probably give a sexy wink to KnightSlayr then get all embarrassed, smile at Greedythump but not know what to say.

I'd love to see what GentlemanBen, Marmite, Walkingtaff, toshn and loads of others are like in person.

Perception is a curious thing. There are a few you have mentioned I wouldn't want to be in the same room with, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if they and others would say the same about me.

There have been some ive met that have been great and four that ive become firm friends with. I've met a few that I wouldn't piss on if they were on fire (they no longer use the forums or have left) people who have met me could say the same about me and that's fine. I agree to those who want to meet people is to attend a social they can be great fun.

I use perception as until you physically meet someone from here you can only perceive their character from what they post. A prolonged phone call could possibly suffice.

Ive enjoyed the big socials we've been to,most people are an absolute pleasure to meet,some are far nicer than their forum persona,some are exactly as I imagine,some are quieter and an odd few id rather not ever remember ive met

What I do find though is that I never get a chance to see and say hi to all the people that id like to because time goes so quickly

I praise the organisers of any event like this that tries to bring everyone together to have a great time because its a huge task and not something id want to do

I just like to turn up and have fun

Thanks to those who commented on my comment...

We've never been to a club, and we wouldnt have a clue what to expect at a social. In my head I imagine a roman orgy style riot of debauchery...but for all I know everyone might all be sat around nattering over a cuppa tea. As relative newbies its a bit intimidating so are hoping to make friends that can take us under their wing a bit and introduce us to a club...but we're still working on that!
