I am, but cautiously. I think this is a show that went on about 5 series longer than it needed to. If you were to do a diagram of the plot to the main mystery, the arrows would be more convoluted than the intro to Dad's Army.  |

Syfy series always either go on forever or stop to soon. I'm gutted at many shows that just stop x
But will have to 're watch all the original x files now to get me back in the zone |

I was a 4400, Heroes and Fringe and avid watcher. They stopped Fringe, like everything. I wish it had gone further. |

I loved them all. It's a gamble we tend to take with syfy as its such a love or hate genre.
I just got into stargate universe for it to stop after two seasons |

I agree with a lot of the sentiments here. I get to see Bill Davis act again so I'm happy but I'm very nervous as the show jumped the shark years ago and the less said about the last film the better. Let's just say if Google solves the case I might cry |

The last two seasons and the film were poor. But fingers crossed the break has been worth it and the 6 episodes will be brilliant. Both actors did some good stuff after californication and the fall etc. |

What's doing my head in recently is all the reboots where the original cast gets killed off to make way for some shite new characters. So if that doesn't happen here, I'll enjoy it.
Also keeping my eye on the campaign to bring back Carter's Millennium. |

I saw the first two episodes last week.
The first is a mythology one and the second is your typical x files episode.

Oh my god oh my god oh my god I am in heaven. The 90's relaunched- and Gillian Anderson is still the sexiest woman in the world as declared by FHM in 1996.
I love the X files I love mulder and scully, and there is not a female on this site could tempt me away from the TV right now.

I thought it was cobblers. The entire Alien/Government conspiracy angle was really played out in the original 9 series and I was heartily fed up of it back then. I always thought the monster of the week stories were more interesting. This is just nostalgia telly. |

I don't know about weirder. I am up to series 5 on rewatching the old series and there are some wweird ones so far.
Hadn't realised how much over lap there was between fringe and the x files till I have watched these again.

The original series hasn't aged gracefully, at all. It's very 90s kitsch ..
Chris carter admitted toward the end of its original network run it should have been wrapped up sooner as it became a caricature of whatever it was originally intended to be.
As it was his only major success (his other shows ended up in the cancellation can relatively quickly) can't really blame him for wanting to ride that out for as long as possible.
Might be interesting for nostalgia value.. Beyond that, wouldn't bother. |

Tonight seemed a bit better than the first one but I feel there must be a fair bit I don't know. Like they both had kids - didn't know.
I wasn't giving it full attention tonight.
It's a short run of 6 episodes or so, so am going to see how it fares. |

Just watch it onncatch up much better then the first but its still missing something cannot but my fingers on it yet, i supposed its like a sequel to a film.the first one is always better |
