Apparently the racks in the fridge door are the worst place to store eggs. The constant shaking thins the whites and the flavours of other foods can penetrate the shell. Also cold eggs are crap for baking.

I cook (eat at least two eggs a day) and bake a lot and find that refrigerated eggs don't taste/ bake as well.
I keep mine in my retro chicken shaped pot thing that belonged to my mother.
As all of our laying chickens are vaccinated against salmonella, there is no real need to store in the fridge like our American friends who's chickens are not vaccinated. |
