my son, who only turns 5 on Sunday, came home from school today to inform me that he now has a girlfriend...lol

LOL You're lucky it's just the one! Just wait till he's in his teens. My son is nearing his 14th birthday and I have groups of girls knocking on the door asking for him.

He seems to find it 'cool'. I just find it a bit worrying. I'm pleased he's well liked but wouldn't want him going down that road yet at such a young age. I was still out playing at 15!!!

By the time my youngest daughter was 6 and a half she was married, in a church and everything, wedding pictures and reception at the school

OK it was to teach the kids about marrage and relationships, but seriously the little boy still thinks they are really married and still tries to kiss my daughter

My son has just started school too and has identifited the girl he's going to marry. Her mum told us she can't marry him - her dad won't let her until she's 40! My sons response? I'll beat her dad up then

This is a better relationship than his nursery one though. The object of his desire there kept telling him to get lost and saying no when he asked her to marry him.

We're telling him to stick to being pals just now and not worry about the whole marrying thing for a long time!
