"Folks.... What time is the best time to stop drinking caffeine in the day.
I had a mocha last night and couldn't get off to sleep for ages!!! "
3 hours before you go to bed. But remember caffeine does stack so the more you take in the longer it lasts. |

Have a coffee in the morning then decaf the rest of the day. It doesn't taste any different.
I now only drink decaf tea and coffee and I have seen a huge difference |

I'm someone who can easily get throught 3 to 5 lattes a day. It does stack. I've personally found you need a good 24 hours like me to get it out your system sunce I stack up so much.
If you are a light intake person I would say between 3 to 5 hours before you wish to sleep. But again this shall vary from person to person.
Oh and yes I always get the extra shot.
As for decaff...in order to make it decaff the beans themselves are treated using a toxic chemical which increased the chances of cell mutation ...yes cancer ....I would personally avoid Decaff.

We all vary, due to physiology but I aim not to have caffeine after about 5pm. Also, it depends what time I want to sleep, so id finish the last drink earlier for an earlier sleep, as well as lower my intake level that day in total. |

"Makes no difference to me.. I can drink strong black coffee and be asleep ten minutes later "
But then I'm a bit of a coffee addict so my tolerance to caffeine is pretty high! |

"Mocha is a shot of expresso and a shot of cocoa...."
Yup, I drink decaf with half a spoon of cocoa at home - but there is some caffeine in cocoa apparently, so those who are very sensitive would have to avoid that too I guess. |

Actually, I can only drink coffee (and strong tea for that matter as it contains caffeine, too) until around 2 pm... to be able to sleep around 11 ish at night.
I think different people have different sensitivities to it... I dont drink a lot of the stuff so it really does keep me awake when I do indulge in coffee, mocha, latte etc...

I, too, stay off caffeine from early afternoon onwards but it doesn't affect my sleep.
Caffeine increases my cough (already bad enough), and produces large quantities of thick, muddy coloured sputum.
No' nice. No' nice attaw. |

I stop at 2 cups a day before midday. As a past caffeine addict I used to suffer from bad insomnia. Now my downfall is parties or pubs where I order . I only remember when I'm still staying at the ceiling at 3 am!
I tried to go cold turkey in 1989 but was so ill I had to wean myself off it for a year.
If you're wondering how that happened I was brought up in a country which produces much of the tea and coffee we drink in the UK. We only had tea and coffee to drink. The water wasn't |
