I've seen quite a few folk recently say that they've run out of messages.

Is there a limit? Does it just stop you from sending full stop?

Just seems a strange thing for this type of place

A daily limit isn't so bad then I suppose! Would make it bloody hard if you had a total message countdown but could make you use them very wisely!

You would think if you are sending that volume of messages, likely to the same person, that you would have got onto phone text and messengers
