"Think you may be a tad confused lovely! We love semen - not sea-men!! "
Well I guess that's understandable. We do pack a lot of semen after a long voyage haha |

"I married a sailor but he left the Royal Navy not long after we moved in together because it's not the best way to live as a family. "
Yeah that does happen a lot. Sometimes it's the wives that want it or the Husband that doesn't want to be away anymore |

That's what my son-in-law did when he met my daughter. He was in the navy then marines...his life long ambition yet gave it up for love...bless him.
As to the op: sailors do absolutely nothing for me. Firemen however... |

"I am a serving Navigational Officer in the Merchant Navy and I've always wanted to know why a lot of women like sailors. Can anyone explain?" I'm not one of them. Someone's job is irrelevant to me |

"Was you not satisfied with the answers last time you asked ?
Nope, be nice to see the opinion of a fair few people "
I see the wording in the OP has changed from 'certain' to 'a lot' though.
What do you class as a lot?
There will be women who are specifically attracted to certain occupations - the traditional firemen/policemen/armed forces/doctor stereotypes - and yes, sailors too no doubt.
But I suspect these women will be in the minority rather than 'a lot'. Most tend to go for guys based on a lot of personal traits - and occupation will generally be way down the list after looks, personality, intelligence etc.

That is a valid point. I guess it could be some old urban legend |

Out of all the forces I like sailors, mainly because the colour of the uniform is smart and I do like sailor collars. I can't stand the army colours and camouflage does nothing for me at all.
