Used to get by on about 5 hrs a night when I was working, but now I'm off long term, ma Tramadol plays havoc with ma sleep patterns. Can be half asleep in ma chair, but I feel just as tired sometimes when I wake up |

Yeah, is not good. It's getting to me now. With it comes all these other feelings..could be just a phase hopefully.
So, many things changing in my life beyond my control. One after another, and too quick for my liking.

Used to be 8 minimum, but when our son was born he had problems and couldn't sleep. I used to send mrs ddc to bed at 7pm and stay up with him until half 2. Then we'd swap so I could get a few hours before work at half 6. Four months of that and so now I do quite well on 4 hours!
Longest ever was a 36 hour shift on a motorway possession when I had to cover for someone else as well as do my own job. I couldn't even write by the end of that

I get like that at night sometimes.....stuff whirring about up there and it's difficult to get it squared away
I'd love to say I have some trick to cure it....but I don't....
I find if it goes on too long it sometimes helps to get up, go down and get a drink or something then try again....it's not ideal but helps a bit sometimes...
Hope it passes quickly for you and you find your peace |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
There are loads of studies on sleep. Some say not enough makes you fat, others too much makes you fat. On the basis that I am fat I'm either getting too much or too little.
Ideally, 7.5 for me but some nights I can't get off to sleep (tonight) and other times I wake tired and just want to sleep in after the alarm goes off.
At least not sleeping tonight has meant I have caught up on Skype or phone with family and friends in Canada, USA, NZ and Australia. |
