Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Is anyone else watching? It's really OTT. Perfect Sunday night drama fodder.

I do like Aidan Turner too.

Me!! Love Aidan Turner. He was great in Being Human. Funny to think I also watched the original series.

We didn't watch Poldark. I can't think what must have been on at the same time for us to not watch it though.

Being Human was fabulous and Aidan Turner perfect as a taciturn vampire.

I do have to keep reminding myself that just because he played a hobbit, he isn't actually short lol.

Waatched last weeks first episode today. Acting is a bit poor. And script is not the best. It was frustrating to watch. Alot could be improved.

needless to say I'll probably still end up watching the second episode.

If I can watch the whole of wolf hall (excruciatingly slow) im sure I can cope with this.

If he was 5 inches taller I think he'd actually be my perfect man.

How short is he? It'll still be taller than me so I'll be fine with him.

loved the first one! really enjoying this one...liked aiden turner in the very OTT drama about pre-raphaelites...he's just perfect for anything that requires swanning about in a billowy muslin shirt and looking brooding!

First time i watched Poldark tonight. Thought it was crap, i do enjoy the old period dramas though, enjoying "Arthur and George" on monday nights at the moment (most of it set around the cannock area) and then "The Musketeers" on friday nights.

Watched the original series back in the 70's. Never liked period dramas then, nothing much has changed

I'm sure the phrase "schoolboy error" wasn't in common parlance in the 18th century...

They're not great on historical accuracy. However, it's one all sex-scene now so we'll let that pass.

Poldark time.

There are those saying it beats Downton but I like that they are not head to head and I can enjoy both.

I admit it.

I'm only watching because I have the serious horn for Aidan Turner.

Otherwise it's a bit sloooooow.

I'm enjoying it being at a slower pace than most things on the telly box. I have a very soft spot for Aidan Turner too.

It was very dark and intense but I had to laugh towards the end when Francis ( I think ) asks what's wrong with the women in this family? And gets the answer "the men"

And then asks if they think they could do any better and all three just look at him! The man who if he didn't spend it on his mistress staked it on a card game!

The actress who plays Demelza is very pretty too, she has stunning colouring.

I love seeing the Cornish coastline and it makes me want a holiday there soon. The accent makes me smile, as it reminds me of the accent here too!

Oh no! Now I have to see him as a selfish, cheating, brutish abuser. He had to have his way and hang the consequences.

I don't approve of Demelza hitting him but it fits with her character.

I thought his character had more honour than that.
