It's a farce. Mercedes were so far ahead of anyone last year, and with very limited engine development allowed if at all, no one has a chance of catching them this year either.
Plus, once Rosberg got a bollocking from Mercedes it was all too obvious who would win all the remaining races.
Maybe it's Rosberg's turn this year?

Sauber will have dug their own grave. I wish the money was divided more evenly across the teams. Maclaren get a big lump of the money and nothing to show. Some of the smaller teams could make giant leaps with that amoubt of money. |

I think there is a lot more going on with that Sauber story than has hit the media yet. Afterall their TP is a pretty good lawyer.
I agree the money does need to be devided more evenly. That money comes from tv rights and the tv shows all teams up and down the grid, not purely the top cars. |

"Are you all getting up at 5?
Or are you recording it like my man? "
If I was at home, the yes, but I'm not so its being recorded.
The frustrating bit is that the Aus GP is one of the few I dont need to record, I'm normally rowing when the race is on. |

The same could be said of Red Bull for the 4 years they kept winning.
It's part of what F1 is all about. If there is a problem it is with the restrictions that prevent the other manufacturers catching up. Yes I realise its a cost saving exercise, but it still a little like the baby has been thrown out with the bath water. |

"Mercedes will perform best at the front of the grid as per !"
It's nice not to have the red bull dominance, also to have an Englishman reaping the benefits instead of a German - don't mention the war
Twenty mins to go to quali..... |

It will be a Mercedes clean sweep, only discussion to be had there is which one gets the driver's title and by how many points they win the constructors title.
Sauber thing is a farce, as is mclaren's lack of anything.
Biggest farce of all is manor marussia, allowed to race last year's car, get all the way to Australia and can't get the car started blaming software issues.
My money is they will not be around come the end of the season |

Going on what we've seen so far it's going to be another dominant season for Mercedes. Maybe even more so than last year.
Hamilton looked on imperious form in qualifying this morning.
Looking forward to seeing McLaren move back up the grid as the season progresses, as I'm sure they will. |

"The long winter is over, and the new Season gets underway.
Hamilton Rosberg Alonso Button
Vettel Raikonen or who??
Hamilton"
Certainly looks that way.
I'd love to see Raikonen in switched on fighting form, and Williams continue their comeback. |

If you do the math you would see that Honda and mclaren are right by the end they would be beating the mercs...the Honda engine is only running about 80 % atm and they are only about 3 seconds off the pace |

I doubt that Alonso will be a contender for the championship this year as he already seems to be wimping out.
Personally I can't stand him as a driver. Ever since the race fixing incident in Singapore a few years ago - all done to suit Alonso.
In my view, if you can't win the championship on your own abilities and need to rely on others crashing out and underhand tactics to fix results, you're not worthy of the title.
There's a lot of speculation and uncertainty over his recent accident in testing and why he didn't race this weekend. I very much doubt he will be taking part in the Malaysian Grand Prix in a fortnights time |

Schuy's reign at Ferrari was very similar, - thee most boring years in F1 history, IMHO, - & Murray Walker telling me that pit stop overtaking was exciting didn't sway me either ; last year proved that it's possible to have great 'racing' even with one dominant team.
Go Lewis!! |

"bored bored bored if this is the best they can do .....mr bean could drive the merc and still win."
That's a fact.
Be it Schumacher in the Ferrari,
Vettel in his Red Bull days,
Repetitive winning, unchallenged and predictable is without a doubt tedious, no matter how much you love F1, and motor sports in general.
Who was it that suggested random turning on of sprinklers? I'm looking for a challenge from Nice at least, Vettel's third looks promising, and Bottas for Williams in the mix.
Shame Raikonnen didn't get poached by Williams.
Great to see the sparks flying again.

Whoever says Mr bean could drive that Mercedes. .. Please just watch the cockpit video of Hamiltons qualifying lap!! Shifting break balance going into turn 11 at nearly 200mph
I'm sure none of us would make it round the first corner

Yes but both Hamilton & Rosberg are allowed to race each other, that's the big difference between the Ferrari dominance years & today's Mercedes team, - last year's toe to toe racing between the Ham & Ros was the best that I've seen in decades! |
