"Pi day is a recurring thread...
I see what you did there
Except it's not recurring, it's irrational
I know. I realised as soon as I posted it. But I still thought it was funny. "

Thanks for being both voluptuous and informative by clarifying that. I've seen this elsewhere but did not know what it meant. It must be a brain freeze like my first laptop with a Pentium 3 and 256K RAM. |

Being really nerdy, this is the day that MIT tells people whether or not they've been accepted into college by them and they plan to send the emails out at 9:26am |

"I've had lots of messages telling me it's Pi Day today so bumping this.
Looking at my post from over a year ago I'm now wondering if I've missed Pie Week this year?
"
It's American Pi day. Not the proper British one |

"It's actually rounded Pi day. Which is even better since I like a round pie. Unfortunately I am not allowed to eat pastry so haven't indulged."
Have you tried banana flour? Apparently it's all the rage, gluten free and paleo friendly.

Hmmm. I am informed Americans call pizza pie, and pizza is (often) round.
Perhaps the universe is telling me I need to forget I'm back on my diet and order pizza... |

No, but I am allowed banana. So may give it a try. It's only for another 4 or 5 weeks and I can start reintroducing things and figure out the trigger. It's onions and garlic I am missing the most but I have got busy with the herb cupboard. |

Quite.
And the British Pi day is an approximation of Pi, so can only be approximately Pi day.

Nope, it means it's only Pi in US date notation.
Here it's 14.3 rather than 3.14 as in the US. |

As above, our Pi Day is 22nd July.
22/7 is an approximation of pi. |

I really should have read the thread instead of just resurrecting it. |
