after starting a thread on Lego, it got me thinking to my childhood toys.
Sometimes if I see something on eBay that I wanted as a kid, I'll buy it, just because I wanted it back then.
I recently bought some Gremlins PVC figures that I always wanted. I've had them in my head for 20+ years and finally found them!
Anyone else do this or anything similar? |

Not so much toys but I bought a bundle of old comics (Beano / Whizzer & Chips etc) from my childhood recently ... They don't make 'em like they used to any more ... |

Toys were so much better back in the day! I used to love manta force, He-man and Thunder Cats!
I also had a massive collection of the original Star Wars toys and still do, not worth anything cause they have been proper played with. |

"Wrestling, X-Men and Power Rangers."
I couldn't get into Power Rangers, but I remember going round the shops hunting for the White Power Ranger figure for my brother! |

"Action man, where is he know a days? Retired and put his feet up or missing in action?
Good question? It should be on the next Crimewatch show."

My bedroom was separated in sections, I had my Barbie mansion with working lift, her beauty salon and loads of other crap for her. I had the ultimate hybrid Barbie/Cindy doll. It had barbies body but I'd pulled the head off a Cindy and attached it to a barbies body. Cindy was prettier but Barbie had the better body!
I had a section for all my sylvanian families, bakery, nursery, tree house, caravan, main house.
Had a section for weebles and other miscellaneous items, mr frosty, Spirograph, wrestling ring, light brights, speak and spell.
Had a section for my Oh penny and Polly pocket stuff.
Had 100's of these smooshi things, they were like little soft toys that had like a plastic house to squash them inside like it was plastic cheese for my mouse and a carrot for the rabbit!
Had a teddy ruxbin and glow worms, had these things called glow babies, plastic fairy things that their bums used to glow!
I was a spoilt child, even remember my 2nd bedroom with loads of wardrobes one for shell suits and playing clothes, one for school uniform and one for party dresses!
Was an only child till I was 10, things went downhill after that! |
