Have a couple of hidden tats, did have bright red hair for a bit (still a few profile pics of it) and piercings, and love my 50s style dresses.
Don't think I'm alternative though, I'm just myself. |

I don't have the alternative look myself but love it on both men and women.
My biggest soft spot is men with long hair....not found that many of them on Fab or similar sites. |

What do you mean by alternative?
I wear my hair in either dreadlocks or a dykeish quiff, no make up, usually men's clothes and I have piercings.
I'm generally into pretty conventional guys. Especially ginger ones. |

I've had piercings in the past but it was more like stress relief, I'd get something pierced because I liked the procedures!
All I've got left now are 2 tongue piercings, the normal way and the underneath of my tongue with the bar horizontal. In my ears I have my tragus both sides, forward facing triple helix both sides. 4 in my belly button, top bottom and both sides, that's all I have left. Also have 11 tattoos but again, over the years I've had them when I was feeling sad, sort of enjoy the feeling of being tattoo'd! |

By alternative I mean tattoos, piercings, dyed hair, possible one side shaven or fringe. I love the look but those girls never like me back.   |

I've never really thought of myself as looking alternative since I'm used to looking like me. I'm the only one of my immediate group of friends that has tattoos and a fringe but then I'm also the only one who's female so the novelty of that trumps my general look. |

My hair is currently blue and shaved into a mohawk.
I never feel alternative though, because I don't wear loads of dark makeup and my tattoos and piercings are hidden.
I feel more like a middle age yoga mummy. |

A lot of my friends have a more alternative look. I'm the odd one out by having no tattoos or piercings and more of a Geordie shore vibe. |

Our profile actually describes us as an Alt/rock couple which is probably a little pretentious and not neccesarily 100% accurate. It's also not as effective as we would hope in dissuading people we have no interest in in messaging us...
I guess it depends on what constitutes alternative to paraphrase Eddie Argos 'popular culture doesn't apply to us'. But equally we live very much within the normal confines of society.

I love all that. Someone who has their own sense of style without the need to conform to 'mainstream looks/ideals'.
I love it. I'm a fan of tattoos though and bold coloured hair. Bit ironic, as there is not much that is alternative about me but the length of my beard. But, i love my look.
Love those who are comfortable in themselves and confident with it.

I'm heavily covered with tattoos, legs are almost finished now and getting my wrists finished tomorrow afternoon. just filling in the gaps between my tattoos.
I don't wear make-up, but my dress sense is slutty/mildly punk. Bright hair. I get stared at a lot (so my best mate says) and i have noticed people staring then look away quick when i look at them. I don't mind people staring, i'm pretty unique in this small town. Not seen anyone as heavily tattooed as me round here.
Don't have a type of guy really. Always seem to end up with tall guys, i think they're into freaks lol and enjoy my midgetness on top of everything else. |

Hair is always black, red or pink....tattoos up one arm, starting on the other now.... both thighs have large tattoos.....and I have some on my back and lower legs (so far)....usually wear no clothes inside or barely any outside and we have a motorbike -I don't know if that counts as alternative I like to think I am just me |

I consider myself alt wiyh a streak of goth, pink, purple and black hair, v fringe, 48 piercings and gagging for more, aspire to almost total body coverage with tattoos including face... I'm a long way from being 'finished'.
Fella qants a lot more tattoos too, quality costs though. |
