Bought her a wall hanging planter that we are going to fill with her favourite plants. Hang it on the wall below her window for her to enjoy looking at.

My mums hard to shop for shes allergic to the majority of smellys and perfumes, doesnt wear skin care products or make up, is on a diet so said she doesnt want chocloate, fresh flowers aggravate her hayfever and she has got so many slippers and scarfs for her birthday/xmas so doesnt want those, and doesnt like eating out as she feels like people watch her eat and likes to buy her own clothes!
So i opted for going down the handmade route and got a big canvas and have done a big collage of photos and pieces of artwork that her grand kids have done im sure that will be appreciated |

"What she deserves - so absolutely nothing from me... although thats actually being quite nice... lol"
I've got one like that and I made similar mistakes until I dumped her.
Now I strive to be a bloody good mum and Nana, and I apologise for my mistakes. So far, it's working although we don't do the Mother's Day thing as we all hate commercialism. |

Mother's Day and Father's Day are considered a waste of time in my family.
Well tell each other we're thankful of them often enough and don't need a day to do it!
I often buy my mother flowers throughout the year anyway to thank her for something or other.
It's just another over expensive FAD like Valentine's Day! |

My Sister and I have treat our Mum to three new outfits as shes lots a lot of weight rapidly over the last month or so and nothing fits her... and she got flowers and taken her out for lunch today.
I got breakfast in bed and a large framed photo of me in burlesque attire taken at my first ever show a few months ago plus a poster of the whole troupe performing, one of which is also my eldest daughter. Very happy Mummy! |

We're getting mother/daughter tattoos done next week. She hates tattoos so when I suggested it never thought she'd agree. She literally cannot wait. Sister has jumped on bandwagon too now and wants to ask niece. Not sure how I feel about my idea being hijacked tho. Am very curious to see what she picks for us to get |

Shaggy surprised me this morning with a gorgeous card from our cats. It sounds silly but it was so sweet that it made me cry.......it's my first ever mothers day card!
I endured eight miscarriages when with my ex husband and have always had a very difficult and emotional time on mothers day. No one normally remembers those who's children have died or who are unable to have children and it hurts very deeply.
I'm very lucky to have such a wonderful fiance |

Bought my mum two big bunches of mine ed tulips, wrapped two chocolates up for her ( she's already had most of my birthday ones. I also got her a really lovely top so I can borrow it when I lose more weight
Callum already gave me money for my birthday so didn't expect anything and yes going to ring me when he leaves work.
I've also been out with my mum all afternoon. |
