I get sent face pics all the time from blokes and think they must be at least ten years older than their profile says..
I don't get many messages from women but those that I have seem to look more true to their age. So do the guys knock years off their age when they join thinking it will get them more meets? Or do men generally look older for their age than women?

It's all in the DNA all boys in my family and we look younger than our age on a good day  but a bad life style don't help |

But I have seen a few men and think there is no way you are younger than me, if they are really 5 years younger than I am I just think my god you had a hard paper round  |

I don't think I look my age and I do get asked for ID fairly regularly, normally in situations where I've got my hair up and no make-up on so I don't think they're the issue as to why women may look younger. Mind you, I tend to think people of both sexes look younger than they are so this may be an issue with my perception of age generally. |

Good skin, overweight, confident air about me...I think I scrub up pretty decent and was well chuffed a coupla months ago when my work colleague was late for a drink and a friend of his who didn't know me rang him to ask if I was the blonde lady, late 30s, who'd just walked in as if she owned the place  |

we both get told we look younger than we are - i think we look not too bad - personally dont see the point in lying and really if we went off pics and/or waiting til we met (which is what matters anyway) we could do without an age at all on profiles - theres a thought |

I man I met elsewhere as one age (and tbh I'm not sure how honest that was) is back on here with an age 5 years younger. Won't meet him on principle now, because it's obviously just to get around people's filters. |

I think I've gradually caught up with my age. Ten years ago people always gasped with shock when I said my eldest son was 23! Now, no one even turns a hair when I say he's 33, bastards!  |

My age is starting to catch up with me but I do look a lot younger then 38, It hindered me a little in my youth but as I close in on my 40s it just might be starting to pay of looking younger  |

You're at the other end of age thing where I have had a 24 year old add some years to his age as he claimed to be mature for his age. I had to raise my age limits at that end and reduce it at the older end in order to try and meet people within my age parameters.

Women look far better for their age than a man ever would because of one thing......Make - up. It hides a multitude of frowns cracks and crevices!
I sometimes wish I hadn't been so truthful with my age when I joined all that time ago, may have been a bit busier on here! |

I wear eyeliner, mascara, lipstick. Sometimes on very special occasions I will add eye shadow. No foundation or polyfilla here. However, I was slathered in unguents at birth and I always moisturise head to toe every day.
Nothing to stop men moisturising.

Yes some do and admit it. they do it to get round filters.
Am sure some guys can get away with it too, they don't look their age. But yeah many guys in their early 30s tend to look a lot older, shame they inherited such bad genes. |

Our filters for guys are 21-40 and we had a man recently email us with 42 on his profile and in his message he said he was 52, didnt deny it when I pulled him up for it either, reported it but nothings probably done |

I hate to say it but I do get shocked by how much older fellas look. I'm very lucky, through genes and circumstances, I do look younger than I am. That's often said in my non-naughty life, before anyone thinks it's just people on here telling me as fake compliments. |

Although make may help women look younger it's not the main reason why a woman at 50, if dressed as man, looks more like a man of 30 than 50.
The main reason is Testosterone. The more you have in your system the quicker you age. It's as simple as that. |

I DEFO look younger than I am..I know that much.
But then so does my mum and dad.
It's kinda funny trying to convince people that it is actually my mum.

I'm always told I don't look my age. Enough people have told me now, i don't think they're all just being kind!
That being said, when I've been on dating sites, a lot of women look a lot older than their ages but then you get some really sexy mature women too so it balances out. I don't look at blokes so can't comment on the reverse. |

I tend to find that when I've met anyone they do not look like there photos, why hide the age you are I'm proud of mine and would never misguide anyone. I know I look my age that's for sure, I just wish men would use up to date photos on their profiles...

I'm often told I look younger but I think that's more to do with how I act and the things I do rather than just looks.
I don't really look after myself all that well, I eat the wrong things, sleep at the wrong times etc but I sometimes see other people my age and wonder what they've done to look like that as they make me look positively youthful. |

Every time I get my haircut now the volume of grey hairs falling down me always gets more and more
And I'm at that stage where they now trim my eyebrows and ear hairs too, now that was a shock the first time they did that, so yeah I guess I'm definitely showing my age! |

Can't see the point in lying about age, if they really intend to meet, surely they must realise it'll backfire. I know I look my age, but I have no hang ups about being over 50, Im 'mature' lol. Don't think I'll be doing this in another 5 years though, just doesn't seem right. All power to this that are though |
