With the rise of Netflix, nowTV and the other IPTV providers, do you think that the age of the set top box has passed?
Personally, I think freeview, Virgin and Sky should now offer their live TV as a streaming service. |

I think that network television as we traditionally know it will fade out, yes.
Live events, especially sport will always exist but as for everything else - it will probably become entirely on demand eventually.

Far from outdated tbh, streaming is all very good if you have the connection for it but a huge amount of people are still using slower ADSL and would spend more tame with it buffering than watching what they want

We are watching as much TV as ever, but we are consuming lots of other media at the same time. As an example I am currently watching the football while contributing to the Forum. I suspect a lot of others are doing the same. TVs demise is much overstated. |
