winking seems to be a little controversial, some like it and some don't! I personally like it, as it shows interest in someone without the need for long winded intros via mail only to be ignored anyway. If they wink back then the chatting can start.
What does everyone else think? |

They do seem to have a bad rep but I'm not sure why? Someone was moaning (and not in a good way ) about receiving too many messages but then stated not to wink? So really not sure how to approach people like this lol |

"When I wink someone it just means I really like what I see. Why people receiving them may take offence to this is beyond me. I love receiving them myself. If anyone wants to wink me then go ahead "
I dont take offence I do wonder if men just block wink and work on the law of average that if they wink enough people someone will mail back
So I wonder if I reply saying thanks for the wink will they even remember winking me
And if they did reply to my reply is it because they like me or because I was the only women who responded |

They probably winked you based on the profile pic of your gorgeous feet lol, seriously though, you have a good point. Personally I don't block wink and just give attention to people I actually am interested in, but as you say that may not be the case for all folk |

"I don't even check mine
nor me"
We don't either....if someone winks we would have to check their profile to see if we were interested enough to get in touch. This means the onus is on us to do all the work which would become a full time job. We simply bulk delete...much quicker. |

Occasionally I may look at some of mine if I'm really bored. I like winking at guys I've chatted to and am friends with to let them know I'm thinking of them, if we haven't chatted for a bit.

Some people take life far far far too seriously!!! Lol!
Need a beer!

I wish you could send people a beer on here. Or chocolate. It's be way more meaningful than winks! |

I can see why the wink function is good for the single guys....I'd be pissed off if the majority of my messages were deleted, so a wink is purely to see if there is interest. Absolutely nothing wrong with them and so easily ignored by the recipient if they aren't interested in the winker. I've had some fantastic meets that have started with a wink. Long live the wink....and the winker |

Judging by what others have said, it seems winking is great for ing out the negative Nancy's on here. If they get offended by it then I'd certainly not want to meet someone so touchy. There seems to be a lot of folk up their own arses on here, but horses for courses and all that.
Anyway. All this does is encourage me to now test the waters with someone I like the look of by winking at them

That's fair enough, but what about those who complain of too many messages and also dislike winks lol |

But surely, they have already done the first part of the "work" to pick your profile? All they are asking is that you look at theirs! No need to reply if you don't like. If you do, maybe a reply to them would start up a sexy friendship. Well, that's how we use them... |

We see a wink as a harmless way of saying 'hey, look at me'. That said, the majority of the winks we've received were from profiles where there was very little to look at, and therefore rather pointless. If you're going to be a winker you'll probably stand a better chance of getting a response if you have a profile loaded with good pics and informative text. |

I would agree with that except....we get in the region of 150 winks a day so it simply isn't possible...we do however respond to everyone who sends a message and we will look at their profile too....there are simply less messages...that's all |

A bit of a slow one this time.
"Wink Twice"
Don't think that I feel that your profiles wrong
You've been the sweetest part of this site for so long
I look in your pics, and they all look right
And I know that your posts have made me hard tonight
This is getting serious
And I'm thinking do I wink or not
*
Don't say what you're about to say
Please look at all the fabs I sent
Be sure before you block me now
Just send a wink back to me
Before I wink twice
*
Baby I winked twice for the chance of a fuck, or a coffee
For the chance of a meet between you and me
Baby I know it ain't easy when your inbox is heaving from that other crowd
'Coz when you're on my hotlist, I want you to go down
But baby this is serious
And I'm thinking do I wink or not?
*
Don't say what you're about to say
Please look at all the fabs I sent
Be sure before you block me now
Just send a wink back to me
Before I wink twice
*
[breakdown]
*
Baby this is serious
And I want you to suck on my cock
*
Don't say what you're about to say
Please look at all the fabs I sent
Be sure before you block me now
Just send a wink back to me
Before I wink twice

Some people get annoyed at wind blowing,or people being alive and talking...
love winking, and being winked at.the one thing going for winks is it saves the hassle of typing out a message that gets deleted,or not read...
Most of our exchanges have started with a wink |

Very happy to receive winks or messages, or Fab'd photo for that matter.
Surely, there is less of a compulsion to reply to a wink or a 'fab' so that should be more acceptable? |
