Things to eat/avoid?, mine are giving me hell, tried some toast earlier to try and scrape the infection away...hasn't worked, gonna try a couple of magnums to chill and numb them but now I'm thinking ordering a curry might be an idea to burn the fuckers into submission, brainwave or dumb and dumber?. |

Curry is known to help; so is semen; try both together |

Heinz tomato soup. It's the only time I eat it. If you can Lucozade in a glass bottle wrapped in cellophane it helps. And banana medicine.
I got it a lot as a kid. Still get it at least once a year. |

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you) |
I have just finished my second course of antibiotics after having tonsillitis twice..... first time in January and again in February - good didn't really work for me but crushed ice from the supermarket helped when I couldn't swallow water |

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
Its an infection, so causing yourself pain will never heal them. However there is never a reason not to eat curry.
I just drank a lot of cold water when I got it. Although I was so ill I wasn't really hungry. |

I don't know why the toast didn't work. My doctor swears by it. |

I had mine out in January..... Worst pain ever!! I'm no wimp, 3 kids, hysterectomy, chemo & radio therapy plus various broken bones etc & ive never had pain like it!
Ice cream feeds bacteria so unless you have antibiotics, avoid it x
Spicy food is great & so is any jelly sweets..... Haribo was my lifeline when ever I had it |

Go and get some antibiotics
Try to eat healthy semi rough foods, ice cream and milk products will just make it sticky and the sugars in the lactose can feed the infection
I've just had mine removed as I suffered about 8 times a year and was often hospitalized for it
Drink pleany of clear fluids and stay warm, good luck |

Thanks all, the booze option is a no no so I'll try the lucazade and ice cubes with the curry for breakfast, silly thing is it's fluids that hurt 10 times more to swallow. |

Crushed ice is good because you don't swallow it so much as let it dribble down your throat....I hope you feel better soon xxx |

Gargle with aspirin or salt water. I have had tonsillitis twice in my adult life, first time it felt like I was dying. Doctor gave me antibiotics, paracetamol and aspirin to gargle. It was almost immediate relief once I gargled. Still felt ill but I could swallow |

I went through a few years of getting it up to 5 times a year.
Ditch the dairy, ice lollies not ice cream, honey n lemon with cinnamon n ginger, antibiotics if bacterial, (pro biotics a week later) |
