Are these worth getting if you life on your own?

Thinking of getting one, then saving the leftovers in the fridge, to zap for the couple of days after, (I don't have a freezer)

Yeah totally worth it. I have a Tefal 8 in 1 and use it to make food for just me when my partner is away. Porridge in the mornings, risotto or stews for dinner, it's good stuff.

I'm not sure if there is any cost benefit compared to cooking the same thing in an ordinary oven or cooker top, but if there is it sounds like a good idea.

I've got a one person size one but cooking a big portion then using it the next day or freezing it is a great idea. It's brilliant slinging everything in there early morning then not having to mess around!

Porridge?

Do you leave it in overnight then?

Yes, the Tefal has the ability to delay a program starting by 8 hours.

I've got the same, and like gossip girl says there no messing about. I'm using it at the moment actually trying to creat some kind of abortion to culinary delights

Think I'll get one then.

Saw a recipe creating BBQ pulled pork, with cola and thought "that sounds nice"

The pork with cola is yum.

I had to buy a new freezer as I was producing so much food.

I am really into Tunisian/ Moroccan good at the moment (Harissa is my friend) and it's so much easier to use the slow cooker as opposed to the tagine.

Well worth the investment.

You can get the smaller capacity ones. Ours always comes in handy throughout the autumn/winter months
