I had one in work last month, appaarently I need to appear more organised.
It got me thinking, how would I fare on here. I don't mean veri's, more in general. My interaction on forums, messages, profile etc.
I have donned my extra thick jacket, feel free to go for it. All criticism accepted  |

My old boss said if you're ever walking around the office, hold a note pad or some paper, it gives the impression you're doing something. I always liked that |

We called them PDR's, what a waste time they were.
A guy was made a shift leader, with a appalling attendance and on a final warning for quality, and when he got it threaten to beat up a guy with two artificial hips.
By the way he was shagging the head of HR. |

I once took a youngster under my wing in an office job, teaching him the basics of survival, ie, never go to the loo on a break, always 20 minutes after, how to spend all day visiting friends in different departments without getting rumbled, the fastest way to steer a conversation from 'I've got a dire emergency here' to 'Oh no worries, sorry to have bothered you, have a nice afternoon.'
He got sacked 2 weeks later for being useless  |

Ahh Mr Marmite, there's a danger of spreading the marmite about too thinly...but with such delightful witty banter, epic lyrics and fun comments I feel if anything you need to increase your visibility in the forums

lol. I had mine in Jan.. I have been told that I regularly shoulder additional responsibilities and get burden to compensate for shortcomings in terms of colleagues and business partners. I should learn to empower associates and hold them accountable for ownership and execution. Hmmmm. Grab them from their neck tell em off? lol |

Once told my boss that the reason my self appraisal wasn't that good was because I "too fucking busy doing every other fuckers job while they filled in their self appraisals" I also asked what the fuck he was doing if he didn't know what was going on with his work force.
I still have the same job, same manager and my performance appraisals only take 5 minutes now.
I'm bad tempered, good at my job and really don't believe in a lot of modern management practice |

Well I had my appraisal 3 weeks back......last year I moved roles so that my appraisal was dome some on last role and some on current.....my last boss didn't bother turning up and my current boss gave it but he was really good, and suggested I fit in reading time in to my day even if 30 mins at the end
Must have been better than last year...bonus nearly 4 times larger and 1.4% pay rise so not complaining in the slightest...... |
