Dont mean to be morbid so early.. read an article in the Independent. NHS have launched a 'calculator' app that considers a good few factors re. Heart Age. Granted I didnt know my cholesterol and put in a general blood pressure of 120/70, think my last was 120/68 but didnt think much difference. Anyway. Results are in and My heart age is 40 BUT it could be as low as 37!!!! Which just so happens to be my fucking age! So despite 20 cigs a day, 40 pints a bitter in-t evening, not exercising a bean, having a naff diet and living near a polluted main road up 'th North - I could live to 72 without a heart attack.. interesting app |

the comment section of the independent are interesting ... apparently the 'calculator' is heavily skewed towards those over 40. One guy has had 3 heart attacks, though apparently has only a 0.3% chance of having one according to the calculator ... other comments are to reduce their bmi, even though their bmi are in single digits ... |

NHS is quite poor for many modern health issues.
We are quite sporty and often get niggles and injuries but usually go to private practitioners that are not normally on the NHS or have a long waiting list. I am specifically referring to Osteopaths, physiotherapists and even a private food intolerance test. Without having these treatments would have us out of action. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
"single digit bmi - matchstick people "
Single digit BMI would suggest they are already dead.
The NHS has gone online info overload. I was looking at some trials of Skyping GPs last year.

Haven't seen this, but I have regular tests so know exactly what my cholestral, sugars and blood pressure are and also know what my doctors told me, so would just be curious with what it comes up with
