There was a time in our lives, mainly late 20's early 30's where our weekends consisted of boozy lunches, cocktails and lazy sex. Now I get to Sunday night and think did I blink and miss this weekend....

Ours are grown up and off hand now our weekends are like yours used to be . Soon enough you'll get it all back, hang in there.

We have recently found as we hit our mid 40s that we simply can no longer handle weekend long partying.

Friday at Eurekas followed by a vanilla Saturday with friends has left us wondering how we will be able to get up for work tomorrow. . .

Yes they used to be for us. We now take every opportunity we can to do things together, coffee, a walk along the seafront, lunch out and we enjoy it much more because it's been a long time coming. We. Also used to use a day or two of annual leave and do grown up stuff while the children were at school

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Now my daughter has left home I do get some hefty weekends, but my liver is trying to let me know I'm too old for that malarkey now.

it is not so much the alcohol more the ability to drink it and not worry that you may get woken up before the consumption of the night before has worn off
