Is it acceptable to send thank you messages ( I mean proper ones not just the word thank you) via text these days?

I've always sent thank you letters, but would you be happy to receive a nice text instead?

I send thank you texts for mine and my lads birthday/Xmas presents or make a phone call. Cost of stamps nowadays it would cost a small fortune to send everyone a letter, the last thank you note I received was from my cousins wedding for her gift.

Of course it's fine. It's one of magical words. Doesn't matter how you send it

In this day and age a thank you in any form is always appreciated.

I really do need to try and get with it more, just in general.

I can be so old fashioned

I will always write via snail mail after a dinner party or an occasion where the host has made a big effort and i really appreciate it if someone does the same for me but text or email is fine too. Old fashioned does not equal bad.
