...Twin pull-out larder kitchen units.

Yea!

Something I have wanted ever since they were invented.

Best of all, Mrs ddc is at work, so I get to choose where everything goes. So, should it be alphabetical, by height or by colour?

Mr ddc

Checked 'maximum load' and sadly not. Though at work once, when we got new lockers, I bet my foreman he couldn't fit inside one, then locked him in!!

Already hit a snag, couldn't decide if black pepper should be under 'b' or 'p'. Decided to have a separate section for salt and pepper, but now the garlic salt and chilli pepper are sniggering at me...

I feel your joy and pain. Once I start trying to organise my food/cooking cupboards I can't stop. I have to tell myself enough, close the doors and walk away. Black pepper goes under Pepper-black,before cayenne, chilli, ground white etc etc. Get a herb rack,it's simpler

But then the mustard will muscle in, then obviously the mustard seeds, and before you know it, the sesame and poppy seeds are in the spice shelf!

get all foodie and organise by cuisine, Italian, Thai, Indian etc.

I do that with my spices. the fact I also label them, and store the excess in the freezer so they don't lose essential oils etc, and grind them in a dedicated coffee grinder, probably tells me I should get out more.....

I know I'll never find anything for weeks regardless. I'm dreading next week when the fridge and dishwasher swap places - I can see the kids phoning the old folks home now

"Yes, he's put the cheese in the dishwasher again, send the men in white coats..."

Having a very mild ocd.... I have all items required for baking or cooking, tins, veges, crockery, small plant machinery, Pyrex or similar all in their own pull out basket.

My 200cm tall bathroom cabinet.... Work of art. My daughter in law sings my praises whilst my son calls me nasty names under his breath *shrug*

We're meant to be having take-away on Sunday, while the oven is moved, but I already know what'll happen. After looking at the cost, I'll say, "bloody heck, you can get Iceland pizzas for £1.50, and they're ready in 20mins. Then after a bit more thought I'll say, better yet, I can make 4 for less than that, pass the passata...

I would just leave it to the Mrs. If she's anything like me, she well rearrange it all anyway

That's the story of our marriage - I swear she subtly moves things so they're slightly in the wrong place, then blames me for losing them.

Well, that's my story anyway!

Right, POETS day, that's me done.

We now have two larders ¾full of neatly ordered stuff, and two old cupboards ¼full of 'difficult' stuff.

I'm sure a couple of bottles of wine will help...

I'd love to, but you know how I feel about that smile, you would have to leave the house for me to concentrate....
