hidden profile

Can anyone tell me how people can message me if i have my profile hidden? I am aware that even tho its hidden people can still reply to mails i have sent but i have received a mail from a randomerand thought that was not possible.

I've just looked and it does say "user has hidden profile" but at the top you can still click on message ...

I think it's more that you don't appear in searches but if somebody has previously put you on their hotlist or seen you on the forums they would be about to find you that way.

Thanks guys. Just went into my own profile via the forums and saw the options to send amessage. i didn't want to block in case my friends couldn't mail but it seems they still can.

Your lucky even if a profile was hidden you could still click and look at pictures. That seems to have changed in the last few weeks.

Changing message filters will only stop new people contacting you.

As someone else said being hidden only stops you coming up in searches.

But lurkers, people reading the forums will see your online and try contacting you.
