Absolutely love it.
On toast or in a sandwich with lime marmalade or cheese or peanut butter.
I even slip a teaspoonful in the breadmaker when Mrs ddc isn't looking.
But, horror, can't find the X-tra strong one anywhere anymore.

When I was pregnant with my second I had a jar just to sniff! Strange but totally gave me my fix.
Can't stand the taste of it though |

"Well next time you do Roast potatoes add a little in your oil ........ you see how lovely .. You can add it to loads of things pasta even cakes . "
I'm definitely putting this idea to Sazz - she hates the stuff but I'm sure if I ask really nicely, she'll try it... Lol |

"Love it both as a spread and as a drink.
ooo bit too salty for me as a drink - love bovril though "
Scottish though, we hate the salt up here so we do stick loads of pepper in it and it's fine. If you think it's too salty Asdas own brand it a bit less severe. But of a midway between marmite and Vegemite.
Good as a base stock for french onion soup too. |

Yup.
There is other food considered 'waste'to some that still gets used, don't see it differently in that respect.

Used to love it until a fathers day breakfast of toast covered in 1/2" thick slab of it, which I then dutifully struggled through while insisting it was the best breakfast I'd ever had. |

I'm sorely tempted to mess with your head by posting a pic of a jar nestled between Mrs ddc's boobs or thighs. The only thing stopping me is that after all these avatar challenges, most of the East Midlands already think we're a bit weird - I didn't quite appreciate the percentage who don't read the forums!

I hate threads like this as I instantly think its a name and shame for one of my past "indescretions"
Thank you Mz Titz and Fuzzy Navel for the positive comments though |
