An achievement your proud of.

Recently I finished shooting my first feature film. I wrote, produced,, directed, shot and edited the film.
It's taken me 12 years if trying and failing to get to this point and I'm obviously really proud of the achievement.
Here's the question
What have you done that has pushed you, challenged you and ultimately made you feel proud?
I'd love to know some of your awesome acheivements. |

My son
Don't think I am a natural parent plus he was born with a visual impairment so been hard at times -operations, problems at school etc
He is a lovely boy/young adult.....and despite being in his teenage years is still lovely and is a caring, sensitive, loving individual
How we did it I have no idea 
Now...if he could just conquer keeping his room tidy then he would be perfect  |

To date learning to drive after putting it of for 17 years. 2 years on I can't believe I waited so stupidly long to do it as it's opened up my world. My next achievement will hopefully be a mini me if I'm lucky enough to be blessed |

Well done you
My biggest achievement was forcing myself to becomes well again and face my fears after a murder attempt 8 YEARS AGO
Just Christmas 2014 I was told I would remain in the nursing home indefinitely unlikely to ever live independently in the community
So.. Facing my fear was mine |

goes without saying my kids are my finest acheivemement - i suppose my latest personal one was a change of career - getting a level 3 in health and social care (at my age lol ) and hoping to start a new job soon on the strength of that |

My kids. Both grown up. But doing great. One at University following his dream and the other working hard as a manager. Both boys are intellectual, kind gentle souls who love their Mum.
Didnt do too bad for a young mum, who didnt really have a clue lol.
Oh and my degree.... Was proud to acheive it after being made to feel stupid at school all those years ago. |

It took me 13 years to buy my provisional but I got it in dec 2013 and took lessons jan-July but stopped
Took my theory in oct and failed so quit lessons and finally got the balls to rebook and I'm taking it next week lol |

Well done everybody.
I think something which always makes me feel proud is that I saved someone's life. Four years ago I got a "goodbye" message from a friend who was literally about to hang herself in her garage.
Though I was at work I phoned her, over the course of an hour talked her down from the stool she was standing on, through untying the noose she had made and towards getting help the next day.
Because of that her son still has his mummy and son #2 came along two and a half years later. |

Running the Birmingham half marathon last yr and raising just under 1.5k for Birmingham womens hospital neonatal unit.
And driving after 7 yrs of passing my test. Really makes life so much easier! |

As a fella - bringing up my daughter on my own, whilst holding down a full time job. She has turned out to be a lovely young, polite and sensitive lady - and I`ve not once heard her swear! Now, in this day and age, that's an achievement in itself - lol |

its a personal achievement and shouldn't be compared to the live of others. It sounds as if driving is a bug thing for you and you are working to overcome that. Be proud. |

Surviving. Every day at the moment. We get to the end of each day and that's a huge achievement for us.
Our family is battling against an unseen disability that is physically, emotionally and mentally ripping us apart from the inside out each day.
When I'm not in hand to hand combat with it, I'm fighting a losing battle to try and get professional support.
But we got to the end of today. |

Raising my son as a single mum, he's 6 and I am unbelievably proud of him.
Personally, losing weight - I'm now within half a stone of goal - having lost 18 stone now since jan 2010 when I started, and have passed my level 2 gym instructor course, doing another teaching module in April. Feel so proud to be able to look at my old size 26 clothes and realise I will never be back there. |

Loosing 7 stone last year, it's been a rocky road and there where times I had set backs and gained some of the weight but I've managed to get back on it and re loose, I'm not at my goal yet but I'm starting to see light at the end of the tunnel now
Regardless of what anyone else thinks I've worked really hard for that 7 stone and I'm proud of myself |

The obvious answer is my kids, the other things that I've done where I've been proud of myself are preventing several people from successfully committing suicide, two of them were actually hanging and I got there in time to cut them down and save them, that's a good feeling.

I think we sometimes forget just how amazing we are for just making it through the day.. Especially when facing the types of challenges you have.

I don't count kids as an "achievement"! Yes I am proud of them and love them to bits, but to call them an achievement I think is to put them on the same level as passing an exam or getting a good job!
But I am proudest of being a published author! Been writing for years and it is great to see my pen name up there on the bookshelves |

There are a lot of achievements a person goes through in life. One of the experiences I had that I could call a life changing event, I moved from one country to another. I start from nothing. After a lot of suffering and falling and standing back up on my feet I learned that success is learning to keep going no matter what obstacles you face. A year later after all that I went through I have it all. When I look back to what I was and what I become I see only an achievement I could be proud of. |

okay I was going to be deep and meaningful and then thought nah keep it lighthearted.
A recent achievement for me was taking part in an amateur strictly come dancing style show, having to dance a sexy argentine tango routine after only 6 lessons in front of an audience.
Scary but lots of fun...

There's lots of things ive achieved that I'm proud of. The first time I finished the 3 peaks cyclo-cross, running a marathon, the job I have but mainly I'm proud of all the little achievements that mean I'm still here and am the person that I am today |

My son is 28 on Tuesday. No criminal record, no dad, no string of kids a decent job. Considering he was born when I was 15 and the horrific future that was predicted due to my young age and inexperience, I think we have achieved a great deal. |

I'm glad you said that because I was thinking the same
I dont see my kids as an achievement either, I got pregnant, gave birth and bought them up, that's the circle of life not an achievement, I am proud of my kids my eldest two are both at uni and doing well but that's more down to their own hard word and I'm not taking the credit for that |

Ok, kids discounted, my biggest achievement was getting scientific research I'd done published as the first author of a peer re_iewed paper. And then presenting it at a conference.
Made me feel like a proper grown up. |

I did my first half marathon last year .I'm no runner but really enjoyed it.
This year I have just landed myself a new job as assistant manager in a well known shop . I'm chuffed to bits as this is a change in direction for me.
It goes without saying that my kids will always be my greatest achievement but I'm still chuffed to bits about my career change |

I used to work as an engineering project planner...but the company restructured, I got a new boss ...and a job i loved turned into a daily drudge of bad management, unreasonable expectations, pressure to meet unrealistic deadlines, endless unproductive meetings, beaurocratic nonsense and working with people that just made each day a little slice of hell ...and I began to wake up every day feeling miserable, and come home feeling miserable.
My biggest achievement was having the confidence to leave, with no small amount of uncertainty/risk with mortgage and bills to pay, and re-train to learn a skill that has enabled me to set up our garage as a workshop and run my own small business from home...I am making a success of it, love every day, am happy and start each day with a smile, and it finally feels like I'm 'living life'

for me overcoming life.
Early teens I was shot In the eye with an air pistol, which left me partially blind in that eye (stopped me joining the Navy). Late 20's beat testicular cancer.
I have built my own bicycle frame, completed the Liverpool to Scarborough twice, the London to Brighton twice. Got my day skipper qualification. |

My career . My aim was to become a VP and complete my MBA before turning 30. I'm the youngest VP at my work place. And my job takes me to places. There were amazing people who have helped me to become who I am today. Some were there for reasons, some were for seasons. But I'm thankful for all of them. No regrets!  |

I still don't agree. Persevering to enable you to have children is a great achievement, but the your children are not your greatest achievement. Still, opinions differ, I just wouldn't ever liken my children to anything that could be considered superficial.  |

Working in the job I do now. I support elderly residents with dementia.
Its physically and mentally draining, but the rewards are fantastic. The pay is shit (pun intended) but crack on and get on with it.
I was trying to do my paperwork today and a resident tried to "bite" me (she has no teeth), she'd already had her dinner so guessing she must've been hungry still |

I lived on the streets... I've worked hard, to become thé person I am today, and put my past behind me.I have four beautiful children, and a partner, who loves me, for all my faults. So I guess I'm quite proud of me. |

i have uploaded music that pianists have neglected. E.g Allan, stephen heller.
May not be great effort on my part but I put them back on the map. Ppl just need to watch esp pianists so they can learn and play how it should be.
