"Yepmy hands are up, I was freezing last night"
Hmmm... erect nipples then?
Why is it that you can mention any subject I end up thinking about your nipples? |

Catch 22 here. The kitchen faces south and it has a conservatory tacked on to it, the temp in there has to be close to 80f. The lounge faces north with no direct sunlight, the temp in there is in the 50's bloody cold!
So the CH has been on the last two evenings just to make sure it don't need anything doing before the really cold weather sets in.
Don't call at ours unannounced on a night, you'll find us with fleecy throws wrapped around us |

"
Why on earth not? If your cold what ever time of the year if you have heating then put it on. |

We're the same. Can't justify the cost sadly. It's one of the only things left we can cut back on.
3 years ago, we wouldn't have thought twice about it. We're a 2 income household so god knows how others cope. 2 years ago, we got our winter (only quarterly) gas & electric bill in from popping the heating on when we were cold - £585 - and that was the balance after our direct debits!!!
You'll also find us under a fleece blanket in the evenings - tonight I think we may light a fire if *Him* will chop some wood.

If my kids say they're cold i put the heating on (they're 4 & 5, can't expect them to sit still under fleece blankets).....i've used £22 of gas in 4 days, can see this being a very expensive winter! |

Hubby is always harping on about keeping the bills down but he has started putting the heating on already. Me and kids just keep turning it off when he's not looking. |

I've had a log burner fitted, so can't wait to see how long I can go before firing up the central heating |

Isn't it dreadful when you have to share the bed with someone who is permanently hot!! Him* had the 3 windows open last night whilst I had a duvet then a blanket wrapped round my head and tucked in, I was bloody freezing!!! GRRR |

When I was younger I was brought up in a house with no central heating. Me and my sister were given jumpers and told to play tag. Soon warmed us up. |

We don't turn ours off just turn the thermostat down as we have underfloor heating and were advised its best to do it that way. The heating bills though aren't noticeably any higher than before so something must be working. |

I've put it on already, was freezing this morning when we got up! I won't be cold for anyone or anything, there's nothing I hate more. If its cold - heating on. Simples! Worry about the bills later. x |
